im sitting here at the office...my daughters grads tomorrow...my grandmother that raised me is dying with days to spare...im leaving in 2 weeks to see my husband....ive got my job, thats hard enough right now to leave, .....my mother here calling me telling my i have to come and like now..i was there 3 weeks back....and im coming down on days with no pay..


honestly...i cant take any more of everthing..i dont know how to split myself and deal with it all...and i dont deal with death well ....i havent heard from my husband all morning...makes me think maybe hes mad at me, although hes not the type to not call,. maybe cause i complain a lot...i dont know anything right now..i just feel like my worlds gone to hell.

all while i see here with bloodshot eyes trying to keep it together....

i just got off the phone with my husband....and fell in love with him all over again, more than i was an hour before.


he knows how to make some of the pain go away..this is why i married him...my best friend...my lifeline when i feel like i have no life left in me.

Wow I am getting more and more depressed as the dayz go by evertime I sign on and see people who sent in there application after me getting approved and I am still sitting and waiting just to know if they received my application or not God I feel tormented …….PLEASE GOD ….let me here something this week ….. PRAYING FOR SOME PROGRESS

Good morning everyone!

Ready, that can be a tough thing, to see others make progress when you're waiting with not much word. Remember, this is not a race, we are all on different paths that take us to the same destination. Hang in there, and do something today to lift your spirits. When your day comes, it will be sweet, just like the days of those waiting before or after you.

We are into day 3 of this tragedy unfolding in Elliot Lake, and people are stunned at the lack of action. Several rescue teams are in town, but none of them are going in, out of "concern for their safety", so now the townspeople have actually begun volunteering to go in themselves. I pray for whoever is still trapped in there, because they are the ones left helpless.

Dahlia, happy landings, and remember us waiting for the landing story!

i am absolutly stunned at what it going on in elliot lake
the thing that boggles my mind is Canada deloys rescue workers all over the world to everywhere when tragerdy strikes and this is happening here at home and they are taking things so lightly.
I dont know the whole foundation on everthing that is going on but honestly there has to be a way to help all the people that are trapped in there ... with second that goes by is crutical
i guess all we can do is pray for those trapped in there and their loved ones

Yes that truly is a sad situation that is going on up there Charlie. All we can do is pray for the families of the ones involved. I don't understand why it takes a tragedy for them to finally change things, those renovations should have been done a long time ago and this wouldn't have happened. Sad

Charlie my heart goes out to you and your town, praying for a better outcome and they get those people out! I watched it on the news last couple days and thought ohhh Lord help those trapped and already one death! very tragic indeed! :'(

Well so proud of my hubby, today he got an secured loan...we gotta get his credit moving and put him on the board, and it's a great way to establish your credit rating for new comers!
All is well on our end, he is settling in nicely! Life is Good!

I dont know about out there Suki, but here @ Scotiabank they have all kinds of newcomer programs, I think RBC has too, cuz my husband got a visa card right away to build his credit. He also gets a free year of banking and a safety deposit box (if he wanted it). No questions asked. So for anyone coming up, they should check that out too.

Omg kingston is alive.. I just received an email from chc advising that hubby's passport is ready and they apologise for the inconvenience with the delay and that the cause was due to there heavy workload.They also advise that they no longer do pick up so hubby needs to send in an airbill and drop it off so passport can be returned..I am smiling right now..just a refresher to those waiting on pp he dropped it off on the 15th of may
