Congrats to all who received updates on ecas...

Mrslwsn... as per question 28... when I did my application I wrote everytime I travelled to Jamaica and stayed with hubby as me living with him... I had to include an additionnal sheet to include all my travels back and forth... It never created any problems for me nor did we get an interview so I am assuming that they understood FYI I never stayed long periods of time in Jamaica and from what I understood you stay longer periods of time, I think it would be benificial for you to write it.

So... since I have absolutely no idea of how this works, are we looking at another coupla months? What are the next steps?

We are absolutely itching to get out of Cayman (I know I will regret this when we are experiencing the cold Canadian weather!) and our landlord is pushing us to sign another lease contract, which is up end October. I'd hate to be stuck here for another 6 months or 12 months if we didn't have to be.

Terrible weather here today, has rained non-stop. My 19 month old twins are itching to get outside, making all 3 of us crazy!!!!

Hey Meg! Get those kids something bright and shiny. Or otherwise a cardboard box. It is amazing how endlessly fascinating a toddler can find a cardboard box, LOL!

Medicals received is usually one of the final steps in the process, prior to making a decision. It should be followed by a phone call requesting the applicant's passport to be submitted, this can take anywhere from a few days to some months, depending on the visa office.

I will add one caveat, although I am going to update your status after this post: I have been reading on other threads around the forum and notice a lot of May/June applicants are receiving the same "medicals received" update. The last time this happened for multiple applicants from multiple visa offices, it was merely a glitch in the eCAS system, and it meant little in the overall processing timeline, as persons went on to wait for months afterwards for progress. It *may* be that that is what is happening again. Not trying to rain on the parade, I'm just saying I've seen this happen before, and am wondering if it's deja vu. I guess we shall see what we shall see!

Here's to hoping all this movement is real movement and good news is on the way for people!

I was going to post the same info, 4th time that I've seen meds received for us and turned into a glitch, certainly hoping we're wrong and this is the real deal, but, mi frens, the roller coaster can move very quickly and would hate to see our peeps with high hopes get hurt. Yup, I wrote all that up. I have dates of visits lengths etc....So another question....I finally chose all my pictures to include....91 of them including wedding & honeymoon....lol..and that was trimming it way down!...what do u guys think....remember I have 4 kids, and we do a lot of stuff in Jamaica with my husband & his fam, and we have a zillion pix!!...so..too much or ok?

@Danielle, my hubby did multiple entry as well and was denied...I think you will find most of the others did as well...

Mrslwsn for the pics i kept it to about 50 but I mean if you are just gonna put pictures in an enveloppe and place a label behind them to explain when the pic was tooken, where and who is in the pic then I wouldn't see why that would be too much... I would say around 50 to 100 pics is ok...

I would settle for any update right now...ANY!! Just to know they havn't had a campfire with our file!! I would give anything for the meds recieved just to know I'm not gonna end up in some ugly situation like many have with the meds....sigh!!

Hey Ive only posted a few times but jus wondering if anyone has any suggestions??
Quick breakdown is filed Dec 1/10 accepted Kgn received file Jan 25/11 no further action so I sent an email in July /11 the response was that the file is in cue and no further action by us is required at the present and thank u for ur minimal correspondance ( isnt that a $%^&* joke lol)
My husbands medical had expired in May/11
Does anyone know anyone else with similar stories with no changes on ecas on no info at all???
