Quite honestly SmoothiesQueen...If i had to order the caips notes over i wouldnt really bother with it....the notes did not contain anything particularly enlightening!! ::)

That depends, MKD. For straightforward cases where the interview is waived, GCMS/CAIPS contains little of value besides the standard processing entries. For cases where there may be some doubt about the application, they can prove extemely valuable in preparing the applicant for an interview by giving them an insight into what concerns the IO most about the application.

I recently had the opportunity to review someone's GCMS notes. The notes confirmed that the applicant was convoked for interview, as the sponsor had been told by their MP. The notes also indicated that two main concerns caused the IO to make this decision- the sponsor's divorce was granted quite close to the date of the marriage to the applicant being registered, and the bona fides of the relationship were in doubt. Armed with this knowledge, the sponsor and applicant can now prepare to address these specific concerns when they get the interview date.

SQ - tell your husband to hold strain, LOL. You guys are heading into 6 months since KG has had your file, I have a feeling movement is not too far off for you guys. Irving's hubby was done in 6 months (after KG got his file), remember!

Hey Charlie,

I never quite looked at it like that ( because I did not have an interview) , but I can definitely see where it could be of benefit to someone in preparation for an interview.

Thanks :)

;) Hi every1 just wanted to pop in and say hi to every1 and let yall know ur still all in my prayers always!!!!!

Hey hey, other Lonely Wifey who needs a new name. :P Thanks for checking in! :)

Hey good evening guys..I was just reading up on some of the posts and I need some clarifications because I believe there is only this one dmp in Mobay a woman Dr...how long does it take to get back a medical?????? My husband is supposed to go to her next week or sometime soon and does that wait time mean if we are ready to send in the app we wont have his medical???????? I r confused, I was under the impression he would he his resultt sent out in decent time or so...HELP!

Hey Mrs Lwsn!

If there's only one DMP in Mobay, she must be the same one giving Mr Proper the runaround. The doctor will give your husband Copy 2 of the medical exam form when he goes in for his medical. The question is, what happens when KG is ready for his medical results? Are they going to get it from POS when it is requested, or will they have the runaround the Propers are dealing with now? I don't know, I can't say, the Propers may be a one-off situation, but I just feel this woman is some kind of ginnal. Too much has gone wrong with their medical for too long for this to be some kind of administrative screw-up/delay/backlog alone.

I just have to say, if I were still preparing my application and lived in Mobay, I would be finding another doctor to go to. I have dealt with Dr Oswald Tomlinson before, the DMP in Ocho Rios. I found him to be a straightforward, almost brutally honest doctor whose concern for his patients came first and foremost in his dealings with them, no matter what brought them to him. I remember when I went to see him, I was going for an insurance medical and took with me a form from the insurance company. He read some of the questions he was supposed to ask me to answer and wrote on them (I paraphrase): "This is none of your business, and since your decision to provide insurance to my patient is not dependent on her answer to this question, I have advised her not to answer it." I kid you not, he was that facety on the forms! His concern was that my privacy was being needlessly invaded, and as my medical adviser he told me not to answer it, the insurance company had no need or obligation to know some of the things they were asking me.

As I said, the other DMP I dealt with was of a similar type, someone who was concerned for me as a patient, not just some wannabe immigrant. The Propers are getting the runaround from this doctor, and her service leaves much to be desired, IMO.

Yea..dat mi ah seh...hmmm I am wondering if I should make him book it with a DMP somewhere else. It's prob she same one Dr. Rosemary King sinting annother..kmt I cant deal with the fuckery..honestly. I am just wondering if my husband will just fan off this advice, because he is much more laid back than I am, and nuff thing he just take with a grain of salt...ah mi deh put fire unda him fi even get these thing done..If it werent for me and my kids I doubt bredrin would ever leave Jamaica..KMT KMT

Well, I know you don't grow up or live in Jamaica for any length of time and don't learn how to deal with slackness in many things and many ways. But me? I have certain standards when it comes to spending my money. When I pay for a service, I want my money's worth. I am not afraid to put myself out of my way to make sure when I spend my money, I get what I pay for.

I lived near Ocho Rios for years and yet every time I needed a medical I would go home to my own doctor in Westmoreland, because when I first got to Ocho Rios, I became ill and went to see a doctor in the town and was astonished at his lack of manners, his poor "bedside manner" and overall poor impression of caring about me as a patient. Health care ain't cheap, I'm not spending my money to be treated like cattle. Especially when I have seen animal doctors exhibit more concern for *their* patients!

Having worked in a service industry for nearly a decade, few things are guaranteed to make me flame up faster than shoddy service. And when I am displeased, you better believe someone is going to hear about it, and believe that I never shop in a place with poor service twice!

Yes I totally agree! I wouldntput up with it but I know my husband...he is the type might not even notice certain flaws in ppl, or just shrug his shoulders and say well ah so it go or cho mi cyaa badda...I will mention this to him tho because I am so nervous about every detail...I dont kno how much longer I can afford going back and forth...Literally I am drained..

Mrslwsn- yup that is the same doctor, I also told mr proper when we have to do a redo that if they don't request a certain DMP he needs to see someone else. DHL insists its not the doctor that it is POS that has misplaced the medical. They said every medical it sent to kgn and then to POS so she wasn't lying when she said she sent it. And they also said as long as this doctor been doing this, since she took over for the other DMP that stopped doing it, that she has never given a tracking number. So I dunno, DHL is still working on finding this number for us so hopefully monday we get it and I can call my MP back with this number. She said the ministry jus wants this number to prove that he has done it so they can get this all finished.

Oh my manners, good morning forum!! Can't believe its sunday already, where did the weekend go. Its been lousy weather here all weekend nothing but rain and freezing weather, some parts of canada got snow!!! Why is it the weekend is so close to monday yet monday is so far from the weekend?!? Mrs Proper, i'm very sorry to hear about the medical situation, i hope and pray that is gets sorted out soon. must admit its kinda scary b.c i cant believe these things actually happen and my hubby also did his medical in mobay.

Morning everyone.

Mrs. P, enjoy the food festival with the kids!

Lonely_wife, whatchutalkinboutwillis?! Snow in Sudbury?! Hmm, my husband didn't mention any over on his side. Tell the mister to get used to it, it only gets worse from here! :P

Hey, Neika, how's it going? Hope all is well with you and the mister.

I feel very odd today, LOL. I started a walk-to-run programme yesterday to take me from walking to running a mile in 12 weeks. Now, normally I don't get out of bed before noon on Saturdays, but I woke early for it because you have to do these things when the sun is barely up and the weather is cooler. So, off I went. Then I came in all hyper, so I did all my housework that I would normally do today, so now I am at a loss for what to do with Sunday, haha! Feels very odd to be idle on Sunday! :P

Where my Dexter fans at? The countdown is ON! 8 hours to D-hour! ;D ;D
