Good morning all,

This is my last CIC post about me

I have finally landed in Canada on Wednesday. Aside from the 5 hour delay in POS on Caribbean Airlines I made it to Canada safely. Well, we went through the developing stages of Hurricane Maria from Puerto Rico all the way to almost hitting the US..

Landing was OK. It took less than 15 mins if my memory serves me right. The IO at the immigration desk was trying to be a puss. He was so adamant about the process and tried questioning me about my previous immigration claims in Canada and why I made those claims, etc. The first question he asked was if I ever had any problems with the police :S Nevertheless, I got stamped in and was issued a huge "Welcome to Canada" package by fellow immigrants.

I thought it was funny the way they addressed me, " *accent* Sally, new IMMIGRANT, give him package *accent*" ... lol .... mind you, they too are immigrants with thick accents ... lol .... I am yet to go through the package.

It feels good to be back. A little chilly with the weather. Think I am getting a cold too since a few drops of rain caught me the night I came in. Nothing seemed strange or changed. Everything is the same old, just like I left it almost 2 years ago. I still remembered to use the transit system without stumbling upon my directions, etc.

CharlieD, you can finally make the last update and scrap that 2009 list now. BTW, do any of you keep in contact with Sheraig?

lolz kayak for tru bcuz the JPS not the tiefing 1 is crazy mail from here to JA 1.5 weeks mail from JA to here 3 weeks i always thought the distance were the same but guess not

Maybe quicker than that, AliCat. Mail going from Jamaica to other places tends to arrive faster than mail coming to Jamaica. When I send my husband regular mail he receives it in 7-10 days, total. When he sends me mail, that is when it takes 14-21 days to get to me, depending on what he sent!

hello everyone, just thought i would update and give proper some positive wishes. As you all know, we have been waiting for a passport request. Well I landed September 15, 2011 in Mo Bay, we got home and settled in. We were home for less than 15 minutes and Immi called hubby, he almost didn't answer as it came up unknown, I was like answer your phone....thank god he did. He has to take his passport in on a Tues or Thurs. to the embassy.

Proper you are next u guys re did things in May as well. My fingers are crossed and sending you positive thoughts!

I will check in when I get back, hopeful for others to have good news.
