Good morning charlie and everyone else!!!

I hope all my fellow canadians who had a long weekend did enjoy it. Wow the weather here today feels like fall, saturday it was 90 degrees and today it feels like 60!!! Big drop, no wonder so many ppl catching colds.
Well today imma relax and get everything all ready for the kids for school. Our daughter starts her first day JK tomorrow, really want mr proper to be here for that but so it goes. I'm gonna take tons of video and pictures so he can see it from afar.
Well tomorrow is tuesday which means back to work for KGN, let's reunite some more families!!!

Hey RG, I see you feel the change in weather too. Seems that summer is waning quickly and fall is already knocking at the doors! I can't wait for pictures of the leaves turning, I love this time of year.

Oh, as an aside, I got two emails from the eCAS tracker on Saturday too, and I now see the same two lines of information as others have mentioned. It would seem the new system has re-arranged the information, there are now two lines with my name, one saying "Decision Made" which must refer to the sponsor approval for my husband, and one which says "In process" which must refer to KG receiving my file. I doubt it means anything more than them just creating my electronic file, because it says "We started processing XXX application on May 24."

I am hoping that the changes mean that more information will be forthcoming from the GCMS system via eCAS. Instead of silence and random updates months apart, maybe they will give us more information, like "background checks initiated", "initial review completed" etc etc. I don't know about you guys, but one of the things that causes me the greatest frustration/anxiety is the sheer lack of information on the progress of the processing. I mean, they have computers, surely they can use them to better advantage. It would stop people from emailing them all the time, having to request CAIPS notes, needing to involve their MPs etc etc. Just my tuppence, anyways. It remains to be seen whether GCMS will actually enhance the process. We can always hope!

Good morning all!

CharlieD..my e-cas info is in 2 sections as well..one where it said "Decision made" and another saying "Application received" when you click on it..it said "We received XXX Application on May 10th for PPR" However for some strange reason, I'm having a good feeling this morning..

This week I can feel it or maybe is the feeling that the kids will finally start back school and I will have a little more time on my hand..whatever it is..today is a good day..the fact that we woke up this morning is great!!

you're welcome LHNB! the option C printout is from Revenue Canada noting your income for the previous year. It is required to be submitted with your application to sponsor. My recommendation is to get both applications and guides, read them from front to back at least twice. You'll need the Country Specific guide for Jamaica as well. Use the document checklists to make sure you gather together the information required to be submitted with the app's.

I don't think you need to send your school records. You may want to include a letter, it's up to you, but I don't think it is required. Someone else may want to comment on that as I honestly do not know...I wasn't a student when we applied.

Whatever you write about, confirm it, and show how your family has dealt with it together. If you have copies of your son's diagnosis and progress reports, then just copy these. Oh, as your children are not all your husband's (I think?) you need to show how he is developing a relationship with them. This is VERY important. They will want to see that he is in fact blending into the family and taking a role in bringing up the children, even at a distance.

Haha, my husband took one look at the paperwork and said, "Here, you deal with this!" I basically just asked him the questions, filled in his answers on a draft copy, sent that to him, and he read through them to make sure I got everything correct as he told me, then he filled out a neat and proper copy, signed it and he was done. It took me about 4 months to put it together, took him a week to do his part.

It's important to take the time to do it right, though. Follow the document checklists and the regional guide to ensure you have everything needed, and organize them accordingly.

Yep, that is correct none of my children are my husband's, although he has raised them as his own since my youngest was 2, and eldest was 8..how do I prove other than pictures how well he has blended, I also have letters my children write to him and card, and a picture of my husband wearing his #1 dad clay chain my 6 yr old made him for father's day etc (lol)...I also am planning on filling out the good copy of our app which he has already signed and we already rough drafted a copy together, will they watch the handwriting? Yes, my husband said same thing he was like babes so wha yuh ah do mi wi sign lmao...Um, am trying to think of other ways of proving how we work it out..I dont send my husband any money so we really dont have much union reciepts...he sometimes sends me money, but mostly if its something for the kids or what not, and basically supports me while we in Jamaica with him etc...Am gonna have to jus go with what I have and let them hopefully believe what is actually true...You know what makes me upset? Most regular ppl have a hard time believing he isnt one of these wutless man who want money and papers from me, so I am wondering if IO's feel the same way!..kmt this is ruff, and today I hear how chilly it getting and i am flying up tmrw and ah grieve becuz i just hate cold.......

Yes, definitely copy the letters and cards from the kids! That's excellent that they do that, it shows a real feeling between them.

If regular people are suspicious, Mrslwsn, expect the IO to be 1000% MORE suspicious. It is their job to suspect us of trying to marry our Canadian spouses for status in Canada, it is our job to show them why they should give us the benefit of the doubt. As one of my friends was told, "in Immigration, everyone is guilty until they prove themselves innocent."

No, they probably won't care about the handwriting, it didn't make a difference in ours because I printed my part of the documents (I have teeny tiny handwriting), but as I said my husband did his set in ink.

About the WU receipts from your husband, make sure you explain what he sent it for. It is possible an IO can look at it and think he is trying to "pay" you for helping him get status.

Yes, it's getting cooler. Hooray for fall! LOL, sorry if you don't enjoy it.
