hey family i am sooo sorry for not posting sooner hubby and i had to drive to do the flagpole and we spent the weekend with friends in windsor.
sooo here it goes, lol, so we got up about 5:30 saturday only because we so excited because it was our turn to land, cause i remember how i use to feel when others would post their landing story we would read their post for days because it made you feel good and gives you a little hope, hubby and i live in london ontario so we hit the road bright and early with our timmies in hand, we made the 2 hour trek all the way to the border, we got their about 9:20ish so we had to go through u s customs, they didnt give us a hard time really, we was ask how we know each other and i told him we are married and then he sent us inside the customs office so hubby could get his i 95 form he needs to get into the states luck thing hubby has his u.s visa so that was good. so then we made our way into detroit for a little shopping at great lakes crossing and walk arround sight seeing. the states is soo much cheaper than canada for the record. so after we were done we took the tunnel back into canada so now here is the moment we were waiting on which seemed like forever, it is only a few more seconds away and hubby will be a canadian p.r. so it was our turn to pull up to that window where they check ur info and i said my hubby is doing his landing today so she ask are there any things to follow and i said no, but honestly she was so tiered cause they were so busy that day she didnt ask me if i had any items to claim lol which worked out fine cause i had items we bought in the states, so she gave us a yellow sticker to put on our car which was a rental btw then directed us into the immigration building, when we walked there were about five people in there, not landing but paying taxes and there was this one officer there he was ripping some guys head of for something he didnt do hubby an i looked at each other and said i dont want that guy, so one of the officers said have a seat and some one will be with you shortly,so after about 5 mnts another officer said i can help you and i just said thank god, so we got to the counter and we told the guy what we were there to do his words were 'oh shit' so we said whats wrong, he said nothing my break starts in about 10mnts and to do everything it takes a while lol which was later he found out cause he thought we would have a goods to follow list but we told him that hubbys stuff is already here , so after about 20 mnts and it only took that long they were having issues with their computers but it was easy and fast, so the whole time hubby was like they better tell me welcome to canada lol i was like you dont get it cause you were here for almost a full year. so after that was done we spent the weekend in windsor, they had caribean fest in windsor so all of our friends went there, hubby felt like he was back in the caribean they we playing all the big reggae artist, tarus riley, sean paul it was sweet. and hubby and i drove back today and we were beat. and thats the landing story.
