Hey guys I don't know if anyone would have this experience before. Remember I stated that hubby sent an email for the status of our application. Well we got a response this morning saying:


Dear Sir/Madam,


We are responding to your email below.

The file is in process nad our records indicate that a request was communicated to the applicnat on June 07, 2011.


Regards.

What do you guys suggest that I do at this point.

Check your mail box or P.O. frequently and check your spam in your email (if you included an email address in your application), just in case. If they sent it on June 7 via snail mail, you should get it either today or sometime next week.

charlie and proper - glad the weather is better for you today!! let's hope the rain holds off for a few more days. Sounds like Jamaica needs time to recover from the flooding. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected, especially the ones that are marooned and have lost their homes.

jahlove - that's awesome that they responded so quickly! that has to be a record breaker!! you did mention earlier that your meds expire on Jun 21? (I think). It's possible they are requesting a med re-do.

You have 11 days to go before your current meds expire, jahlove. It is possible your case is close to finalized but not ready, so they may be are being proactive by requesting the new medical to prevent any further delay when they are finally ready to issue the visa. Disregarding this weekend and Monday, if you dropped off your PP on Tuesday June 14, do you think you would get it back before June 21, based on the current trends with visa issuance?

jahlove - they have done that in the past when they don't think the file will be completed before the expiration of the meds. Given the mailing time, they may expect you to get the letter closer to the expiry date. In the past when it's this close to the expiry of meds they call you for the PP and itinerary and tell you to leave before the med expiry date. It's unusual for them to request PP by mail. but then again who knows with KG...they are very unpredictable!!

Congrats jahlove! Any movement is good news when you've heard nothing for a long time!

A PPR request by mail with tight timelines would be unconventional for sure, but I guess Kingston prides itself in being unpredictable! So who knows!

Did you ever get originals request? While it's been awhile since I've seen them make the request, maybe it's that? They may tack on the med redos too if they see it expiring and are being proactive?

Well whatever it is will remain a mystery until next week.. Try to enjoy the weekend and watch the flight prices just in case!
