Morning all lets hope this week proves to be as good as the past few weeks for those who are waiting

Morning Everyone. Thank you all for your well wishes...Mr. Posh landed in fine stlye and everything was wonderful. Unfortunately we noticed this morning that they did not signo ff on this CPR document and today we have to go to the U.S. Border to do a Flagpole????

Does anyone know how to do this exactly? I cant believe that they just allowed him throught immigration without checking his documents!!!!!

Morning ladyposh and welcome to Canada Mr Posh.

No-one signed his documents? That is very strange. They would need to have him sign to confirm some details, including his address so he can get his PR card!

Anyways, flagpoling is where you drive to one of the US-Canadian border points of entry. When you get to the US side, advise the border officials there you do not wish to enter the US, you want to flagpole so your spouse can land in Canada as a PR. They should turn him back around and send you to Canadian Immigration. When you are back on the Canada side, he needs to give the Immigration officer his COPR and PP.

Thank you Chrarlie, I knew you would be the first oone to answer this for me. Other than this upset everything else was great. I will give you all the landing story once I get back from the border. My journey with immigration still continues!!!!!lol

No problem, ladyposh :)

Go get hubby sorted out, LOL. We can wait (barely). LOL.

did they cancel the visa in the passport and take a copy of the COPR? if so, i think he would be fine... i can't remember if they signed my hubby's COPR, but can check when i get home... i know they took a copy of it and left him with one copy and cancelled out the visa in the ppt (just a line through it)...

if they did that, i'd not necessarily want to drive all the way to the border only to be given hassles... maybe contact pearson immigration, might be something they can do to guide you?

morning all... i'm awake... sort of... yawn!

LOL, morning chelley.

g'morning charlie dear....

how was everyone's weekend? it's starting to warm up here, and it's bringing the storms with it... so i had a wicked headache for a good chunk of mine, but the sunshine seems to have taken that away this morning and i'm looking forward to it being a lovely day... :)

I'm glad to hear the headache is gone, chelley, those suck. It's overcast here, same as yesterday, we had a little rain last night but it didn't contribute as much cooling down as I'd hoped. I don't mind if the weather stays like this, LOL. Day after tomorrow is day one of Hurricane Season 2011, another 6 months of watching the weather!

Other than that, I had a great weekend, spent most of Saturday hanging with my girlfriend. Hopefully everyone enjoyed theirs too!

Morning eveyone :)

Ladyposh...that totally sucks you have to do that, but immigration is always full of bumps in the road and at least your together now. Sooooo excited for you guys and this new journey your beginning together in Canada.

Hoping there is good news for more of you this week. I'm never sure how to feel on the Mondays...I'm not far enough into my file being in Kingston to really expect much unless I'm going to be one of those miraculous three month cases...and that would be luck like I've never had in my life LOL!! So its just kinda a wierd lull period!!

Morning SQ!

I view Mondays as a chance for someone long in line to get through, SQ. That way, space is made for people like you and me who just got started waiting. Each new week also puts me one week closer to other things I am looking forward to, relating to special occasions in my family and so on. Remember, a watched pot never boils, haha. ;)

Good morning everyone!!!

I am hoping everyone had a wonderful weekend and special welcome to Mr. Posh :D

Lets Go Kingston Lets go!!!!

Drive by Posting!

Greetings Forum Fam!!! Chelley, Lonely, Charlie, Kedeisha, Jahlove, Lady, Proper and everyone else!! It is a lovely day in O-Town... Getting ready for our trip to JamDown in 16 days! 3 days on teh beach and then 2 weeks in country.. I love it! ;D

Can anyone tell me if it is ackee season now? And pear (avocado)? I don't want to get my hopes up before I get there. I know that Mangoes are ripe around now. :D

One more thing that my husband was suprised by in Canada is our avocados he calls them "fluxy" and honestly compared to the ones in the country - they look fluxy fi true. ;)

Nae, LCW - how are you lovely mamas to be doing?? :)

Everyone, be blessed & Stay blessed!
