omg....I have a situation. My passport is in my maiden name and im a bit confused about above posters comments regarding which name to use.

My drivers liscence is in my married name...I've never gone in to change my last name in Canada though...not sure...do I need to??? But my passport is in my maiden name because my residency stamp in Jamaica is my passport....and I still have like a year left before I can have citizenship...but likely will be gone by then...crosses fingers.

So on my forms do I use my married name or my maiden name? what the heck.... Because like I said its my married name I go by...and its on my drivers liscence...just not my passport

smoothie... my passport was not in my married name and i used my married name on my forms.... I changed my name with Revenue Canada (stupidly easy) and Health Canada (somewhat easy), so i had those two pieces of ID with my married name on it... everything else was in my former name... wasn't an issue.... since people apply for family class right after marriage, and a marriage certificate is part of the required documents, they can put two and two together if you use your married name, even if your ID is not in that name.... i think it's only an issue if you are the APPLICANT since the PR card must match your passport....

also i was thinking... did i see that you've got immigration photos/medicals done for your daughter? i probably missed it, but is she your biological daughter or your husband's from before? if she's yours, she's already a citizen by birth right, so you don't put her on the applicants list (she'll go on the forms as your child, but she won't be included in the list of those being sponsored... you should be starting her citizenship papers which is a different process.... you'll be delaying yourself unnecessarily and possibly confusing them if you keep her as an applicant.... and when CIC is confused, they take their time and call interviews ... fix it up before sending!)... if she's not biologically yours, then you're on the right track...

Good morning!!!

Youpi I am all done school except for 2 exams but all done class lol As a reward Im going to my moms who lives in Timmins... I am leaving in a few and I'm gonna spend a few days there relaxing away from work and everything Today is the big day for me... I have been anticipating this day its been 60 days today since last contact with Kingston and 30 days for Caips so no matter what this week I should hear something from either or... Keeping my fingers crossed...

A small update for everyone!!!!!!

I was talking with Sanchester and she said I couldn't leave to go outta town if I am waiting for news lol so I figured I would call the number for CIC ATIP and ask them if they can fax me over the caips and medical file... unfortunatly the lady said NO but she did say that they were send off... She mentionned they were sent as of April 3... I found that a little weird and laughed and asked oh gov office working on sundays now?? lol The woman said some people go in before they leave on holidays or things like that... So I am very thankful that person went to work yesterday and I got my friend coming to check my mailbox while I am gone and I will get her to fax me the notes if I get them before I return home

I am pretty happy its not a big update but it puts a smile on my face still

A fire fighter is working on the engine outside the station when he notices little johnnie next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off of the side and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.
Little Johnnie is wearing a firefighter's helmet and has the wagon tied to a dog and a cat. The fire fighter walks over to take a closer look. "That sure is a nice fire truck," the fire fighter says, with admiration.

"Thanks," little johnnie says. The fire fighter looks a little closer and notices he has tied the wagon to the dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.

"Little partner," the fire fighter says, "I don't want to tell you how to run your fire truck, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster." little johnnie says, "You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren.
