Hi, this is my first post. My husband and I have been married for over a year now and we have been living together in Jamaica for the past 2 years. I am now pregnant with our first baby and because of the zika virus in jamaica I had to come back to Canada and can't go to Jamaica. I live in Quebec. We filed for sponsorship April 1st, files got transfered and processed May 16. Our Quebec Certificate was accepted and sent over on August 1st. All of the medical, criminal report and payments have been made in advance. We advised the embassy of the pregnancy with my doctor's official letter.

Since the medical was good, no criminal record and our Quebec certificate was accepted.

Do you know when I can expect my husband to receive his PR visa?

It is the hardest time of my life right now being pregnant and away from my husband.

Welcome, and I understand your pain. I was also pregnant and delivered our baby alone and am still alone waiting for him to be here and our baby is almost 10 months. Unless you filed inland somehow I can't see how you will get anything sooner than even next April for a call. Unfortunately. Unless things speed up drastically (which is still possible) I wouldn't count on him being here for at least another 8 months or so... Take care of yourself. Try not to stress as hard as that is. You have a little one to consider now, wishing you all the best.

[there are normally criminal and background checks which are done and involve other agencies these average 3-5 months. You can order notes to see details or check ecas for updates. Otherwise call CIC to obtain b/f date

Why do they get our holiday at the embassy anyway Kids still start school! So, what makes them so special. They get every holiday for every country!? Must be nice lol. No don't think so they have a list of closures on one of their sites gonna double check later I understand why they'd take JA holidays but American I will write a strongly worded letter for that lolll ( obviously joking) but it would be ridiculous if they did.
