This whole thing was such a huge disappointment after waiting so long I can't help but laugh lol I think that's a sign of going crazy I've been laughing at everything lately lol but try logging in from your account see if that works I'm not able to find app on hubbys account but can from mine just can't see anything because of having a rep on file if that doesn't work then maybe contacting their technical support on Monday or something or guess we'll just have to keep waiting at their mercy

Does anyone know if the immigration officer checks or do they know how many times a couple travels back and forth to see each other during the application process? Just want to see if they use this as a tool in helping to determine the validity of the marriage.

Hey lackingpatience,

They do look at travel when determining relationship validity but it's not the main proof. Not everyone can travel often so it would be unfair to guage relationship validity predominantly off of that. If you're able to travel to see each other it's good to update your file with boarding passes and pictures, everything helps. However, from my understanding they are more concerned with how often you communicate.

Morning everyone, was finally able to link the application this morning. It's bittersweet. In the details it shows they are still reviewing eligibility have not started the background check, no interview required at this time. Hopefully a favorable final decision will be made within the next couple months.

What have you done differently? I'm am not sure how many people I should add on mine. I have 2 non accompanying dependents that would make 4 on the application so I have added 2 and 4 persons at different times but nothing seem to happen. Guess my next bet is to try 3 lol

To be honest, the thing I did differently was I used application number and family name as well as my hubby's passport info instead of the city and country of birth. It wouldn't work from my account but it worked from his. Since it's just him applying for PR the number of family members in the app was 2. But neither of us have any kids. I would agree with you that it should be 4 in your application. Oh and make sure you have the exact same city for the intended address as your application. For example if you're from the GTA and you put Toronto but your address was entered as East York it won't work even though it's technically Toronto.

I had to include our non accompanying dependants that's why it wasn't letting me link it. My suggestion is if you have ordered notes go by the info on there.

The information is pretty basic- for me anyway. Everything about this process -especially eith Kingston VO is so troublesome. Definitely teaches patience and builds character.

Hey Spartabarbiie,

I was able to link the application. I wouldn't stress though it's nothing fabulous in terms of information provided. The info was no different from what was mentioned in my notes from May. In fact it's pretty basic info it shows the main stages of the decision process (like what's outlined on eCAS) and what's been completed from what's pending eg. Medical, background check, eligibility determination etc. nothing spectacular.
