I emailed Kingston on Thurs or Friday and they just emailed back saying:


Dear Mrs,

We have responded to your recent enquiry.

Please be advised that the status of your spouse's application has not changed since our last reply to you. Our office cannot provide you with an update of your spouse's case status by email on a regular basis, but rest assured we will contact your sposue when the file has reached the next processing stage.

In order to serve all clients better, we will be unable to answer further correspondence at this time.

The last time they emailed me was in May. This is very discouraging and Im at my breaking point. I just feel like I cannot keep going. Its not fair that they are keeping my husband away from us because they wont get off their asses and do their job. I have to do my part as a parent and his part and Im just broken right now. Im burnt out. Im thinking if dripping out if school because Im burnt out. Why do they torture me so much?

Okay so I have two bets, one based on date applied and the next based on how I think Kingston processes PR applications

So my 1st bet is based on date:

My 2nd bet is based on spouse's (applicants) last name first letter:
Mrs. BAngel-->B
Impatient-->M
Shortyp2000--> M
Roxie-->N (waiting on background check/clearance as she has lived already in Canada)
HubbysWifey-->L (she is after Roxie because she is waiting for RCMP)
Iijasha--> S
Torontoblues-->G
Mixedchick-->G (is last because she has to wait until the alphabet starts over)

*this is only a guess*
**I think Kingston has 3 different queues: inventory, waiting/holding (waiting for documents to process), and finalization (thus alphabetical order is relevant for filing....idunno just a guess and based on how the stats are on the spreadsheet, it looks like they do alphabets and the year applied...so those in 2014 get processed in alphabetical order, unless something is missing then their file goes on hold, then 2015... and so on and so on...also circumstances and background checks play a large role in processing time... again just a guess based on spreadsheet.

***as well I don't know everyone's circumstance but anyhow here is my guess!!! 8) 8) 8)

Hubby got back his documents along with his PASSPORT TODAY. I'm so happy right now u guys don't even understand. I thought the process would take a year or so but no sah!!! kingston started processing my application March 26,2015 and look, less than 6 months. I'll be booking hubby ticket and going back home in few more weeks. Will keep u guys updated with how everything goes, thanks for all the LOVE & SUPPORT JAM FAM.

Shortyp.....it is discouraging we know. We have all been living it. We have to hold on...we must. Remember if we get too down and depressed about it all, someway somehow it will manifest itself to our families and we dont want them to be picking up any negative vibes or energy. Just remember we can talk to each other thru this forum and there is always someone to help us thru even if the reply is no immediate. Just hang in there guys....I dont email them i just wait as I am expecting a out of the blue PR moment and even so if anything pops up (as is always possible) then I will deal with it then and there. last time I heard from them was in early May too. It is hard to be without of spouses but we just keep trying and focusing on the day we will link up properly that PR landing day.....

Happy Anniversary Cece......I missed our anniversary also....But trust me when I say the next one wont miss us......We have out "blinkers" on and only vision we are seeing is straight ahead knowing that the next anniversary we will be sorted out. It sure aint no bed or roses this Immigration journey, not that we ever thought it would be.....but trust me...trying to keep cool, calm and collected is worse not easy but sure much more beneficiall to keep our health and sanity in check.

JAMFAM........those of us who waiting....Just hang in there. Honestly sometimes I wonder if I have logged into the wrong ecas site as I keep seeing no changes. I have resigned myself to only checking ecas on Tuesday nights.

Right, mine still says "Application Received" but I told myself I'm going to be patient and wait until they contact me, a Senior forum member told me - contacting them prematurely before you receive an AOR from them isn't always good as you can annoy them and they'll just end up ignoring you and that they have the power to ignore or delay your application. That stuck in my head lol so that's why I am just HOLDING IT OUT ;D

Mixedchick...looks like we went on the same page and seeing "application received" from when-months now. But yep, my hubby and I decide we going sit and wait, no email, no calls no nothing. I am just secretly having my fingers crossed that bam...one day out the blue they send for my PPR and then bam again send my COPR ;D

am telling you this process is so brutal and discouraging but I hope for the best for all of us keep strong my friend we all here for each other.

I know they making me n hubby sweat for the visa and ask if we not sweating, hubby bought a ticket for me and him to see the Kevin Heart show august 1 at the air Canada Centre, as a belated birthday gift and I think that's why he so mad and lashing out at me cause he don't wanna have to sell the tickets are give them away, I am so hoping I can make that show
