Hello dear members,

As promised, I am touching base with you to tell you about our landing story. All went very smoothly for us. Flight was perfect, immigration gave my husband a warm welcome at the airport. They asked him very few questions. He said it was more of a conversation then anything else. He had to show his papers and that's about it. He was given a SIN number right at the airport and a welcome bag full of info to start his life in Canada. Came out of the doors with a big smile and warm hug for me :-*

We have been settling in quite nicely. He seems very comfortable and happy. It is so incredible to finally have him in my environment after so many months.... years of living in his. We are taking things easy right now, one thing at a time. There is lots to do to fully integrate into this new life in Canada. I will be taking a couple of weeks off work and we will use July to relax and enjoy each other. He will probably start trade school in September to begin a new career.

We had a truly enjoyable Canada Day yesterday: CN tower, fireworks and even a visit with a friend of his who lives in the area. We are on our way to happiness together ;)

Good luck to you all. It is not an easy journey but well worth it in the end.

Thank you for your sound advice and for sharing. Take good care!!!

How long did you take to get ur RMCP prints? Was it from jamaica or Cananda u made the request? Just want to know if it was Jamaica paperprints u sent off....I just sent for mine and just checking if it really going to take 22 weeks. I dont get anyfeed back on the conversion to digital by the CIC accredited fingerprint company ::)

it took two weeks to receive my prints result from the RCMP, pos email me the finger print form I print it take it to the police station have them take the prints and sign there name on it then mail it to my husband he took it to the accredited finger print place then they digitized it and send it off to the RCMP then waited for the RCMP to mail the result back to hubby then hubby mail it to pos from there

Me a listen to you ........ DWL... Me know yuh did bad under the quite enuh ;D ;D ;D ;D

But In all things God give us only what he knowsss We can bare, he prepares us and sometimes we as women...we back haffi broad. Think sometime this wait is both our punishment and our lesson/test.

He is preparing us to be patient and also to understand tht the road a head is also going to be hard and lonely even when you have your man there cause a him same one ago give us baddaration (Cause no ask if sometimes him get pon me last nerve)

we can only wait.

Bwoi impatient girl, im trying to ignore everything for immigration, some days are better than others cause i may or may not have things to occupy me. but other times it get the better of me. It is the worst feeling when other ppl have your life in there hands scrutinizing and playing guessing games with it. i feel like a reality star with Kingston, and my story is being passed on to VO after VO and everyboy has something to say about what they read nt knowing the truth about it, :-[

trust me I do understand the days when reality hits and you want your man beside you n so on..... those are the days when its hardest to cope....

I thought it was me alone thinking all them do is have our file as pass round donkey and a play betting game or hang us out to dry then when them see the time look bad then them really start doing them job.

them days gonna come where karma get back at them for what they doing to us

all I pray for now is that them don't take longer than 2 weeks to send back my rass pp or else..... like I can do anything lol but me still a ssay or else lol

honey we just have to gwan pray for the faith and strength to pull thru

Same way Impatient and Roxie...some days knowing how far my hubby is, not being able to see him and the fact that we waiting on "visa permission aka PR" to be with him finally is soo hard. I cant wait to be with him and looking back on all this. :'(

Today hasn't been good for me. Missing hubby badly, and I'm taking it out on him. Its just so frustrating to play both mommy and daddy to these kids, not sleeping, not feeling happy, and very exhausted. Yo KINGSTON VO, hurry up man
