How long did it take for them to request the passport and send it back to u????

Your file is in Kingston right? So to have an idea of our case, ECAS showed Decision Made Dec 2 (never had In Process) He got the call on Dec 8, passport sent in same day and Dec 16 the passport was back at DHL.

There really is no guarantee how long it will be from the time it goes to in process until they request your passport. Everyone is different, but to give you an idea of my personal experience - they requested RPRF (which we had paid at the time of application) & new police check on March 8 (was a Saturday). I emailed them about their error on payment right away and Hubby went on the Monday to get the 1 day police check done in Kingston. That was sent in on Wednesday. On March 18th, they emailed requesting Hubby's passport at about 5pm. They had requested a meds extension but hadn't got it yet, so they called hubby a couple days later and asked if he could land on or before the current ones expired on April 9, so naturally he said YES MA'AM! Passport was returned by DHL and we flew home together (I had a trip to see him planned already) on March 31.

Interestingly, and I am not sure how many people have ordered their notes after hubby has landed, but I did and when I look at the timeline - it actually took only about 20 minutes for them to look at our file, put in a note that says yes, we believe relationship is genuine, okay to issue VISA and email sent to request Passport - it sat in our case for 10 months on a shelf only for them to take a total of about 20 minutes to review it! Ours was pretty straight forward, but still, 10 months of waiting for them to only need 20 minutes to determine our fate!

Update for those who are waiting for the PR card. Hubby received his card today. Dec 23 to Feb 9 delay !

Usually it is when they are ready to send back the passport! But in my case DM was before PPR!! We never know with them !! smh

Hello Everyone, I have been creeping the page for a while now but thought since I was near the end it didn't make sense to join but the end seems to be a long and drawn out process.

I started the process Oct 7th 2013, I don't remeber when My file was transferred but it was some time in January of 2014. We received a request for the passport, Background check and additional family forms to be sent to POS. This was requested Nov 5th2014 we didn't get to hand everything in until January 9th, I was freaking out because the due date was Jan 5th 2015. Hubby ended up losing the passport and He needed it to do the medical and Police check. I sent him to DHL to inquire if they have return shipping despite the fact that on the forum everyone was pro Fedex. He did not inquire he sent the package off which was 13, 000 JMD 5000 more than what I see was quoted on the forum. ! I had to email POS twice to ask if the process will continue even though we passed the due date. They said no further action is needed by the applicant. This was Friday Feb 6, th. He received a call yesterday from POS that he didn't sign the police check and to send it back quickly. I'm assuming this means they want to send back the pp. However they said to send it back wth return shipping so now we have to do this all over again. This time we will use Fedex. I've noticed individuals who said they had to create an account. Do I do this on their website or can hubby sign up when goes in.
