So, I just got my notes back and NOTHING. The only thing that changed was that Med's used to say "Passed" and now they say "Passed-Expired". Frig! I was really hoping that we were close enough to the end that they would extend them...disheartening. Also, where would I find the new "due date" or Bring Forward date that people talk about....I see no new dates on here, just dates that have already passed.

My last few sets of note show 2014/03/02 so obviously this has not been updated in a very long time. Bummer about the medicals being expired, but I think that they still can extend them if within 15 months, but most likely he will have to redo them. When did you do your original meds?

The original Meds expired in Sept. I emailed kingston and pos back then to see if they were extended and Kingston never replied and POS replied a few weeks after they expired saying "Your file is currently in queue for assessment. Once completed, we will then advise you if your medical will be extended or if you will be required to re-do your medical examination." that was sept 15 and according to the notes they updated the file sept 21 with expired. meh. who really knows!! I might try emailing them...I am also curious to see if they ever did receive our updated PC that we sent in a few weeks ago to KGN.

OMG!!! Just got an email requesting my husband to go for his interview in Kingston on November 19th. It states that I can go with him or be available for a telephone call at the same time. I choose to go with him. They have also requested proof of relationship since August 2013, new IMM 0008 and schedule A with all activities and addresses since he was 18, and an updated Additional Family list.

Holy excitement, nervousness and stress.

So very happy to hear that you have movement on your file Lexi!! Hubby will be home for Christmas with a red bow on under your tree Good luck to you both for the interview. Good idea that you are going down for the interview.

On a side note, is it normal that they ask for the spouse to be "available" if needed during the interview time? It is the first I heard of that on the forum so have the others had to be available in the past?

urgh yesterday I had a breakdown ...This truly is a stressful process. It's going on 2.5 months since I've seen my hubby and I can't travel back until Feb. Just praying for peace, joy and contentment. I wasn't able to travel for our 1 year anniversary on Oct 14/14, so it has all been a bit saddening...but I pray for strength for us...and if you could also keep us in prayers we would appreciate it. Thanks famjam!

Jessie hang in there. This process is hard and difficult for everyone involved, but you are strong and can endure. Very sad that you missed your one year anniversary, but you can make up for it when you go in February and plan something extra nice for it??!! It is a long haul to not see your spouse, but your reunion will be extra nice

Remember not all VO's update the notes. The bring forward date will say due date and it is maybe 8-10 pages in. That is where mine was. My dates NEVER matched up and nothing was NEVER done on those days....so don't worry about that. Have you asked KGN to extend you medicals or if they were? I wouldn't redo them until you know for sure. Save the money

POS is known to interview people. At least they are making them for Kingston and not Trinidad...that would have sucked

Yea exactly but I would prefer to have an interview in november and maybe having hubby for Christmas. Now my file is still in Kingston! Well at least both offices are working good!

Hey Mel, if they are working on your eligibility it is really good, not even a year yet! Stay positive and everything should work out just fine. Mr cafelatte will be welcoming Mr MelJam upon his arrival, man to man with an newly immigrant perspective you know. We are basically neighbors lol!

It shouldn't be long still, Kingston works hard during winter, your time will soon come and you'll have to warm up your man

Wow, That is great news lexi!!! Is your file in pos or Kingston? are there any children on file? I am glad they give you the option to go with him to the interview. I am particularly interested because I am a September applicant, so it seems like they really working.

Its not just you my dear, my husband and I have been feeling frustrated too and just stressed out from this process. If you are not strong , you can lose hope at times but as my grandmother always say in ja......."the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory " you are in my prayers. stay strong

Oh wow that is fantastic and she is a dec 2013 applicant. Sucks about the interview though! Did she say why she thinks that they are being interviewed?
