Frustrating.... Would be nice if everything was consistent and transparent. Wishful thinking I suppose! Hang in there. The light at the end of your tunnel is shining brighter everyday.

Hi everyone, congrats Sammy on receiving your notes! I received hubby's notes too, same thing for us, bring forward date in september, medical and criminality not started, but the file was transfered to a next VO for egibility. Hubby received an email requesting original birth and marriage certificate plus an updated schedule A form, So glad they started something! I was starting to loose hope.

Not overjoy either, just hoping that things will be a bit faster now. Leaving for JA on my hubby's B'day on Oct 12th, it would be great to receive PPR before I arrive. Wishful thinking

I think they "forget" to update as our file(before sponsorship approval) read the same thing until after we received the letter of approval ~ you think they would have time to do something in 27 months!!!!

yay congrats things are picking up. Next week we will ave even more great news. soon this process will be behind us.

Congrats Sammy and Cafelatté for the good news! Everytimes I read posts like this it makes me happy!
We do not get no PPR yet in September but at least, for some of us, we having so much great news on emails, letters or notes!!

Yep. Mine is the same. ECAS hasn't been updated for me since May 14, 2014. I'm not sure they are updating it at all.

We received a letter of approval in July 2013. We applied March 2013, got additional info requested April 2013, transfered back May/June (had to wait for medical appt- he had one vaild still, but it was due to expire short after) and got the letter July 2013... nothing since

Well...got our notes today and they started working on our file July 30th!! They have no concerns over our relationship or anything. Criminal or Security haven't been started yet though but they may have been as these notes were done in August. Our new bring forward date is September 30th.

Also there was a little note there to my MP..I guess they checked up on my file and I didn't know. My MP never emailed me to tel me anything. In the beginning of July they (Kingston) said they were working on file from Jan-Mar 2013.....however by the end of the month they are working on June files!!! Shows how they work there...all over the place.

Sammy this all sounds like you are truly reaching the end!! Good luck girl!! PPR PPR PPR for you very soon!

Fabulous Cafelatte!! Their requesting something/anything is good bc means KGN is working on your file!! Hoping and praying that you get PPR very soon so that you can go down there in 3 weeks and then bring him back with you!! Plus WJ is having a seat sale right now...LOL!!

Basic question. How do I request notes? I also seen that someone checked status on cic jamaica and cic port of spain. Where do you go for that. I did a google search and found several websites, but none of which had an option to check immigration status. I've only had success with cic (the one they never update)...Any help would be much appreciated.

Oh and one last question, how do I update my timeline?

You can check your status on the CIC website on ECAS. This is the same where ever you check it. The information will all be there. Going to Kingston or POS websites are not any different. I checked this out myself the other day. It's all ECAS.. I will post the infor to request your notes on the next message as I need to find it and copy and paste
