Hey Everyone! So yesterday was me and hubby's 1st anniversary and we spent it apart. BOO! Leading up to it I was like "It's not a big deal, we will have many more to share together" but let me tell you, It was a big deal. We made a promise never to be apart for an anniversary again.

I'm hoping to go see him in Sept, but I'm not sure. We are really feeling the financial burden of this process and being apart...I hear all you Sammy when you are saying "just want to sell everything and move until it's over". Dig deep Sammy, your time will be soon! 'They can't keep us waiting forever'.

I agree where a lot of us think it will be okay, and in reality it's not... I was lucky enough that I got to celebrate our one year together and our 2 year will be here in Canada (thank goodness)

I am beyond frustrated right now, I want answers and of course I am not getting them at all. All emails i've sent to Kingston and my MP the past month have gone unanswered. Ususally my MP gets back to me and nothing.

So I guess I sit here and wait until our lottery numbers are called and my hubby can come home. Yes...I am getting pissed, I don't want to be doing this anymore. There is NO WAY that it should be taking this long to look at application, issue a Visa and allow our spouses to come home.

Sorry guys. I am not usually the downer on here but sometimes I just need to vent.

Kgn is really getting on my last nerve, why cant they just call for extra help if they are so backed up.

By all means vent! When I got PPR, as excited as I was, I wanted to cry because it's not fair to others. It should be done in order, that's all that I ask for.

Police Check (we got one for NY state and another from Jamaica) ......: Feb 2014

Application sent and paid over $1000 for the app and PR on May 29/14
Approved as a sponsor .......: July 2014
File transfer.......: July 2014
Visa Office......: Kingston

Does Kingston visa office have a website to check out the status? Also, from what I understand below, we they have received the med and application and its in process correct? I really hate the layout of the status. It's very generic..or maybe I'm just stressing lol

While it says "application received", yes, you're TECHNICALLY in process, but it doesn't mean they have even looked at your application unfortunately. When your ECAS changes to say "in process", that is when they tend to be on their way to asking for final documentation (redone PC, medicals, PPR - that sort of thing).

The entire process can get frustrating as there is silence from Kingston for practically the entire process. You will need to dig deep for your strength and remember that when it comes to the "Kingston Lottery"... May the odds be ever in your favor....

When I log in, it shows this:
