On another note, I took some advice from this forum and went to see my mp.... he is currently trying to get info from Kingston on our file.
I had ordered notes last month and realize that much movement did not occur on my husband file. his police check was not viewed yet and it will be expiring this month, so i am trying to get the mp to speak to kingston before it expires. But knowing kingston we may end up with a call the day after it expires to bring in a new one

This is good news - I'm glad your MP is looking into it! I hope you hear back before your PC expires..come on KGN!

Just a heads up....when you order your notes not everying is updated. There has been a few members on here who showed Nothing competed on their notes at all and they still received PPR. Some of the VO officers don't like to update your files. It sucks a lot!!

For the police check..if he hasn't received PPR in the next couple weeks or best bet is to redo them. They have to be vaild for your spouse to land. Plus if they do expire they will request a new check to be done anyways. This can add time onto your file. Your spouse can either hang onto it or deliver it to the high commission in Kingston.

Hopefully your MP can get some answers for you. Plus us older members on here can answer a lot of questions for you. I have been around for over 2 years so I have seen alot happen on here

If you PC is set to expire have your hubby go redo it as soon as possible so that you can do the cheaper 21 day service and have it on hand when KGN calls asking for a new one. Ours expires July 2nd, so am going to tell the hubby to go redo it beginning of June so there is no gap and will be able to handy in case KGN calls for new one Well that is the plan so let's see how long it takes him to do it is another matter entirely...LOL!
