thank you!! yes thinking positive, some days definately harder than others, but best positive is he is here with our family- still a struggle no matter what ~ dealing with immigration for sure! I was so confused as to why it went to Kingston as I was told it does not if it is an inland. This forum has definately helped me no matter what the application is (inland or outland) all the success stories and words of encouragement help myself and I am sure many others as well! So again, thank you all for all your help and positive words- to everyone-
I only know a bit about it because I friend of mine was sponsored inland up here and his children were in JA, but they had to submit everything to the high commission in Kingston, I am not sure if everything was then sent from there to Canada or if the file was dealt with strictly in JA. sorry I couldn't be more help.

Awwww, thanks for your kind words and for coming out of hiding! :-*

Hey Neveaha, how are you and hubby doing? Is he adapting to the snow and his knew environment?

And what about you? I miss my husband like crazy, but I'm use of dealing with my household and take my decisions on my own, I wonder how it's going to be when he is here with me. Besides beeing patient and support him in his transition, I will probabably need to adjust myself too...

He ask me plenty of questions, he is anxious. I try to reasure him but at the same time I know it won't always be a cup a tea for me either.

Thanks for sharing if you are comfortable with it :)

Have a great week-end everyone!!!

So bit of an update here, hubby got a call from our VO today telling him that they have requested his meds be extended, but that they haven't heard yet and they know that he would like to come home with me (I am there visiting from the 27th until the 31st). Apparently his meds expire on the 9th of April, so she asked him if he could land before then, he was like absolutely, so we booked his ticket on my flight on the 31st and his passport with his shiny visa will be sent back to him by DHL on Monday! I can't believe this, I am in total shock right now!

Hi cafelatte02! :D

Hubby and I are adjusting to life in Canada one day at a time. He is embracing everything like a champ and is doing better than I could have ever imagined. He loves his job and it gives him a lot of satisfaction knowing he is contributing to the household. We have encountered some obstacles and work through them together which I feel is very normal in marriage -- nothing is perfect, right? Patience and understanding is key!

The majority of our friends and family talk about all of the adjustments hubby has made and I remind them that I have gone through a lot of changes too. Obviously they are not comparable i.e. culture shock, leaving the only home they have ever known, etc.; however, our lives change drastically too. We are a work in progress and I love having my man in Canada! :D

Thanks for asking and I hope you are reunited with your hubby very soon! :-*

That showed up on my hubby's notes around November, so we waited approx. 5 months after that. Since the one thing we know about immigration is that once you think you have it figured out, you find out you don't, don't take that as gospel, but it at least gives you an idea.

Yes, I responded to their email request for his passport and attached my flight itinerary and said it would be great if he could return with me.
