So I had a bit of spare time this morning (very rare) and was looking over the spreadsheet brought on by ITEN's question.

It looks like the following have PPRs out:

Seeing a list and that there is movement makes me happy. Not bad I guess let's hope that KGN gets these back this month and keeps moving with the rest of 2012's. We need Chickie, DG and other 2012s out of here (no offence) so that they can go gangbusters on the first half of 2013's!! GO GO GO!!

Who you marry is your own prerogative! Unless you make my opinion of your choices a reasonable question of debate, there is no need to dignify this question with an answer.

Since you don't know me, you can only sum me up in a few words or deduce a particular argument based on your own understanding. Since I don't know you I must do the same. And we continue to live in error based on these assumptions.

It was a question based on your statement -

that I was asking about. My belief is we are all the same no matter what color we are and there is too much other negative things in this world then to worry about the color of our skin. Based on your post...i can only assume you don't agree so I asked but that is ok, you don't have to answer me that is quite alright....I can make assumptions of my own based on posts. Thanks

i do believe in the 2 years I have been here this is the most movement I have ever seen so far, like the most people waiting for passports to be returned all at the same time. THis is awesome news!

Interview didnt go well, but we have yet to hear on a decision. My husband and I did some traveling together so they dont even have his passport anymore, mind you we did wait a few months before retireving it and may unanswered emails about a decision. Notes are useless and they have lost his newest medical exam! Oi, Kingston...
Oh well, just going to carry on how we have been for years now Every day is one day closer!

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear that the interview did not go well! Why do you think it didn't go well or did they indicate and tell you why right then? Feel free to share if you like or not. I do with you both luck with figuring out what your next steps will be though.

Did it state something in your notes or are you still waiting for them?

Nothing is decided until it's actually decided so don't lose any faith! some VO can be a bit snippy apparently. Also, sorry, I'm just confused, was the passport handed in at the time of the interview and they have since given it back to you?

wow what a struggle you have gone through but it is extremely weird that you haven't heard anything back from them yet....i would look at that as a positive because I would think if it was a no they would have told you by now instead of going onto the medicals etc.... keep the faith, you just never know!

I know that line prompted the question... hence my remarks. Since you seek clarification I will answer. I spoke about life and death in that post. Spoke about the fact that we are more similar than different. Yet you zoned in on that statement.. Why? I wanted to say since race was the only factor in the death of Steve, Martin, and Lucky.. their children did not have the luxury of demanding the right to having both parents.. they had the legacy of death. To repeat, I wish their children had fathers that lived to see them grow up. period. ( I wish they were given a choice, had the opportunity to enjoy parents that matched- them!) None of these men had white wives so I failed to see the connection to the question on mixed marriage.

We all make assumptions especially when what is being said makes us uncomfortable! Many fail to grasp that my story of survival and pain in no way cancel yours nor condemn you for loving yourself. I am loving myself when I tell the story of OUR past, even when it is not fixed up and polished to satiate the taste buds- Truth in its rawest stage is hard to digest. I love my race! doesn't mean that a black man who choose to marry a white woman has suddenly become my enemy, nor does the woman he chooses become one I fear. In fact I do understand the psychology of a black man who marries white women.. I understand it and will not judge him cause i don't walk his walk intellectually/spiritually. What I was actually doing in that post is speak about "all the other bad things that occur in the world".. like black men murdered in their own country because they asked for equality... I think this would qualify as a supportive statement, a response to the little girls question... Turns out her problem is less than that of the kids I mentioned.. at least she got 2 parents who had the freedom to enjoy the life they chose.

I realized that none had mixed marriages also which is why I didn't instantly think this was a racial comment. I guess unless you really knew that you can possibly read that comment a wrong way. Thanks for clarifying though

Yes, the VO were very rude... they would whisper to each other in French.. and I was too overwhelmed after being there for hours to say anything (we were both interviewed). They did keep the passport after the interview was over, the notes have been ordered a few times since. The notes on the interview were not even very accurate, like they were writing them to their own opinion rather then the facts that were said, but what can I even really do about that? They never requested the medical again, but I knew they were going to expire so I decided to take the change and just have my husband re-do them. Just going to start the process to try and track those down now, since his file hasnt been updated with new medicals and he did the exam in Nov, just got the last set of notes a few days ago. Whatever, it will work out, just another thing to laugh at later
The interview was in June, my husband picked up his passport in Aug (without the visa ) so he could travel to the states and stay with some friends that live close to myself and our son so we could go see him there
