Lexi mine says DM under sponsorship column bc I have passed that part and CIC decided that I can sponsor my spouse. Then "application received" under permanent resident for my spouse in that column bc obviously no decision has been made there. Two separate parts to this process. Once they get the ppt call or shortly thereafter it will read DM in that column as well. Someone correct me if I am wrong or mistaken.

Today is Mr. Parkin's 36th birthday!!!! Wishing (more then ever) I was there to celebrate with him, but I got his sister to make him a card and told her what to put in it...and I'm trying to link up with our friend who has Skype for a possible special birthday Skype date for the weekend! His friend is always trying to get me to chat Patois to him when I'm there, so in my email I got Nini to help me make the full email Patois..told my hubs and he DWL...

What sort of things do you all do for your spouses if you miss an occassion like this?

well happy birthday to Mr Parkins from the famjam! Too bad you can't be with him on this special day but you will have many more ahead of you soon!

It is so hard missing milestones with our loved ones - birthdays, valentines, holidays, getting my hair cut, taking dog to groomer, grocery shoping, (okay kidding but would love to have him hear for those events as well ), etc.

That was a brilliant idea about writing him a card in patois!! Hmmm, may need to use Nini's services in the near future as well :-*

I haven't been there for my husband's birthday at all...(my busy season for work is Jan - April so I've never had the chance to take it off!)

This year, I've arranged for his cousins to surprise him with a birthday cupcake cake with 24 cupcakes...each with different toppers of things he loves (i.e. Arsenal, pool table and sticks etc.).

I'll also be sending down a card which he should be getting around his bday.

Any news is good news......what is the processing time for sponsorship now? I know it was at 30 days about a month ago, is it still around the same?
