Just so that I am clear, hubby and I are having a disagreement. Do I need to send the medical with the application or when they need the mediacal they will request it?
100% send it WITH the application. In previous years, you were to wait until they requested it, now you will see on the checklist that it is to be included to be considered a "complete" application. Your process may be delayed or application returned if not submitted with the application.

Let me tell you all something. This process is bitter sweet. Nini we almost have the same problem. My husband as come to the point that he has given up hope. The whole journey I called a test. This processing test you to see how strong your marriage is. The reason why immigration especially kingston takes so long is because " they claim the jamaicans are the ones who are coming here and do drugs, marriage fraud etc" sad but its not only jamaicans who come here and ruin the country! (A little birdie told me, they spoke with a member who works there) so that's how they look at jamaica, and now the good have to suffer for the bad.
Nini a famaily that pray together, sticks together. I just keep telling hubby, you will be here soon, I guarantee, just trust me.. No longer than this year.. You will be here.. We cried sometimes, pray, smile, everything just to make us forget about this sometimes. I don't think these VO every went through these long process like we do, or even if they, I dnt think its long.
So everyone need not to worry.. Yall need to pray.. Prayer helps.. It heals and it sure do wonders.!
Faith moves moutain!
Faith really does move mountains. It gives you the inner strength to survive this grueling process. And of course they think that. It's funny because past shows that Jamaicans were the scammers and using people to leave the country... and when I say past, I mean 20-30 years ago. It's time to move up. It's now ANYWHERE in the world that can scam and come here and abuse our systems, including canadians themselves (ashamed to say I have seen it happen). There has been a few times when hubby or myself have thrown our hands in the air and said "forget it, I can't do this." Then we sit and think about life without the other and it doesn't happen. We truly are in love and I need to learn patience considering my hubby has told me on numerous occasions: "Baby, I will adjust to Canada because you are there. You know if you were not there, I would not be coming." Which makes me stay strong to try and support him.

It's terrible that hey have us endure this ridiculous wait, but I suppose I understand. They are trying to weed out the bad couples... though I am sure they still make it through. I still think that almost 2 years waiting is excessive. They are breaking down good marriages that would have succeeded had it not been for the distance. I am trying my best to NOT go into debt for all these visits. I am frustrated and angry and hurt and sad... I am everything all the time. I don't even know how to pinpoint half my emotions anymore! lol

::) :p LOSING MY MIND!!! :p ::)

That must be a famous line I get it all the time with the dirty looks and the up and down head to toe look. Wow she needs The Lord in her life that's all I have to say.
I know!!! There are Jamaican girls on here married to white men... pretty sure that colour has nothing to do with how my husband and I treat one another. It's just crazy sometimes the things that people say. I had to block her because she was posting negative and rude comments on our WEDDING photos as well. I was jaw-dropping shocked.

I dealt with a LOT of racism growing up, I really though we were past that now.

Yes, this was on facebook. She actually isn't a direct friend. I don't even know her. She's my husband's friend's friend.... it's THAT far of a connection!!!

I just ignore it now so does my husband he is not into his own kind just his own preference. I was never into any other race besides my chocolate men hehe.
lol, really?! I always thought I would marry white. I never had an opposition to another race, they just never seemed to work out with ANY race.. my personality is a little... rough around the edges you might say... lol I guess I needed a Jamaican man to handle the attitude, but practice with dealing with white people in order to be diplomatic... it was also a major bonus that he appreciates me and everything I do and that I am for him and vice versa!

Does anyone have stories of spouses being treated differently or even ostracized because they married to foreign ppl. I've heard many stories, they think he is set up and has all this money cause his wife/husband is foreign. as for me during my visits I've been treated good at least I don't hear anything or any Kmt. I can walk through town on my own and greeted warmly..missing my hubby, awaiting my lunch time call from him right now!

Yes darling I never once had any other race approach me besides black men which I never had a problem with. I'm picky to the type of men I would talk to. I loved my husbands personality I kind of put it like a white personality stuck in a black body. I HATE men who try to be gangsters with their pants below their butt so sloppy. I knew a decent well mannered man would come sweep me off my feet and I got my chocolate dream.
both my previous common law retionships were with my own kind, it was only recently later in life- was I with a black man. My husband is my 2nd and he is a keeper...so respectful and such a kind good son to his momma and what a dad he is.. swoonsssss. i am deeply in love with him. He knows me deeper then any of my ex's. cause we connected on a emotional level as we obviously physically apart. The first visit/meet oml I was in heavens arms..when we embraced for the first time at Mobay airport..memories forever remembered.

Aww that is so sweet memories of a lifetime that meet and greet at mobay airport.
we recall every detail of our first meet, clothes, and feelings. I giggle when I think of how he approached me with caution as I arrived at 715 and it was dark. I got out of security and customs within minutes of arriving so he was waiting n the car. I waited a few mins for him as i stood outside the airport arrival entrance..my heart was beating and I was sweating from evening heat and there he came out of the darkness..and like I said it was cautiously and then he saw yes it was me and speeded up his pace and gazed into each others eyes for moments and the embrace and kiss...came. and well you know the rest was heaven. thinking of one our songs from Bruno mars ---locked out of heaven

Amazing!! I've known my husband since I was around 12 - he was my 1st kiss..we didn't have contact for about 8 years after that. I returned to Jamaica on vacation and my family there usually hosts a BIG party for Christmas (kill a goat, jerk chicken, food, music, drinks) for the whole community to come! I was sitting down enjoying the festivities with family and I saw my husband walking down the lane coming to the yard...OMG! I froze..and jetted into the house. I was SOO nervous - seeing him for the 1st time in 8 years! Reapplied lipgloss, fixed my hair..peeped through the window and saw him talking to my siblings, cousins, my mom etc. I stayed inside for like an hour until finally my cousin came in saying he was asking me to come out. I went outside..finally...and we hugged..and started talking and talking and talked the night away from about 5pm - 3am until I told him he better get going! LOL..and the rest is history!
