CW89 I went on my ecas and it says the following:

Sponsorship Application Status - Decision Made

Permanent Residence Application Status - Application Received

Mine doesn't even say that Medicals have been received. Hmmm, hate that everyones is always different! I am actually on the phone (on hold) now with CIC to see why mine doesn't have that meds have been received. Will keep you posted.

I wouldn't worry as mine also does not state medicals received, but when I ordered my notes, it shows that they have arrived and I have a "due date" as well.

Good morning lovelies!

I hope all is well and everyone is keeping warm (or cool) depending on where you're at :)

Quick question - since my ecas changed to 'medicals have been received' - is it safe to assume that KGN has my file and therefore the medicals have been received?

Or is this stage done in Sauga :)

I know it's still early in the process - but this is just puzzling lol
yes that part is done in Mississauga! :)

Lol, if it's done in mississauga, then maybe they have little sense left to realize that it has been sent to kingston. lol Even though I included a copy of the medical submitted form. :P

Alright so I am off the phone with CIC and spoke to a very helpful person! She confirmed to me that his medicals have been received and are in the system. Phew! Remember one of our Jamfam members having a nightmare with her husband's medicals being lost somewhere in the system! Wish that CIC would figure out a way to mainstream across the board so that it is fair everywhere and has somewhat a uniform system!

BTW I said something to her like "so crazy that we have to wait up to 22 months...blah blah" and she said that she saw that there is someplace where the waiting time is 61 months! My heart dropped, but then thought that she may be talking about the parents/grandparents sponsorship which apparently is taking years to have them come. I feel for them, but they are not husbands/wives and children!

LivnKani. I too read daily but don't talk as often. I understand your frustration as everyone here. Sometimes it's difficult as people seem to be so upbeat here. Please remember anytime people seem that way , it's because it's the little piece of sanity we're all holding on to. No one in our life understands the anxiety of this process like our forum friends. We all have our own little fears like the long time, no response, medicals, criminal checks, Arc's etc etc etc. At the end of the day whether we talk or just read, we all have the comfort of knowing we're all in the same waiting game Take comfort in knowing the forum is here for all of us . Have a good day.

My personal vote of advice is to keep it organized! My way of doing that was by taking the checklist and completing everything one at a time, so when they receive you application, it is in the same order as the checklist (I've heard rumors that they like that)... as far as evidence, that is at your discretion. Photos, phone bills, receipts, letters from family. Anything that you feel will apply to your situation.

That's about it from me, but many others will come to give you advice too :D

Good luck and CONGRATS on getting married!!! <3
