If your going to get a Jamaican passport make sure u can a trn number as well. Jamaican passport will allow you to stay as long as you want. You still have to come back to Canada once a year to keep your Ohip. You can get Jamaican rates for any tourist rate, work,car, home, property, land anything basically. Its good if u want to come back here to live after retirement.

TRN number you apply for it in Jamaica its just like our social insurance number. They use it for taxes, to buy or rent a house, clear barrels for a cheaper rate, work basically everything. OHIP is in Ontario our health cards you just have to make sure u come back to Canada once a year so your health card stays active cuz if you don't you will loose your ohip free health care.

your so welcome I wish I had a TRN number at the airport I claimed a barrel got a yellow slip but when I went to clear the barrel you can only clear the barrel with the yellow form with a TRN it would of been such a money save.

With OHIP you have to come back every six months. If you are out of the country for more than 6 months you have to reapply and wait the 3 months before you get it back
