KC and others, I love those kinda books too ... and I love the multicultural ones where they talk about immigrants who move to different countries to make a better living. Pretty neat stories and I bet most are true. Kitchen Table by Amy Chan?

I read one a few summers back with this chick from India that married a white dude in BC ... she moved to Canada but her parents were totally against it b cuz of the cultural clash then she got 2 kids, both her and her husband met in an accident and died and the kids had to go back to India for their grandparents to take care of them .. who, were totally against it ... twas a pretty cool story and I think it was a true story too .. don't quote me on this.

I also like the multicultural movies, so far I have watched El Norte (I recommend if you really want to see what true illegal immigration is) and I was told about this other one that was filmed in South America but it was about these group of people trying to make their way to the north and the things they had to encounter. I think too it's pretty new, like 2005 ish.

So much for reading and movies.

I hate reading novels....... funny how I became an English Major..... ...Well I read if I have to but I cant curl up with a good book like some people could.

I would have to read one chapter all three times my mind just go blank, yeah" stress could do that to a person is not in it like it use to be...


All my books are just taking up dust on my book shelve, and god there is so much of them. that I get every month from my book club some still in the boxes....(note to self cancel subscription)..

terrible I know but a girl has too much distraction going on right now...

I Like the Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill its a good book...The Purpose Driven life is also very good I was incline to go buy after that DC shooting.

But I must add that I do like inspirational books like..... all of Charles Stanley's books, Joel Olsten, Oprah' Live your Best life, those I will read.,./ Purpose Driven life... Dreams of my father/Obama.

And I can Never have too much Fitness Magazines/Books yes' I am a fitness junkie.... ..

Anxious, I need to find someone who could buy my books. I have a huge pile up too and they are all text books from university.

It hurts too when you have to get rid of them cuz you know that you are throwing out a huge part of your lifetime memory I sometimes wish there was soooooo much space to store them.

Hey, have you ever encountered reading something and at the end you have no freaking clue what you just read? It happens to me a lot especially when I have to study and boy it does make me very scared.

During those times I feel very stupid and illiterate b cuz I cannot understand what I read the first time. I get so frustrated and feel as if I no longer have a purpose. So, I usually triple read until I kinda sorta get it

Confuse...I know exactly what you mean as I mention before I will read if I have to, when I have to.

but don't give no big a$$ book with 500 pages of pure writing...I like visual, am like a child.... show me the pictures

thats why I quit Computer programming too much freaking reading, and and when i done I can't remember a darn thing,

I know what you mean, its hard to let go off the past.. .. I keep all my books too from school too.

Have a book/yard sale, or donate them, sometimes the school will buy them from you if they are still using those series books..
