wow guys let her have her moment and this is not away to keep things positive.

LMAO !! Let me knock on some wood here before I type this.... "Knock Knock Knock" ...The fact that they responded means they're not on strike..which is good news to me...I set myself up at the beginning for a long journey. As much as I always try to focus on working on the next visit with my hubby and not think to much about this process, I still check ecas about 20 times a day. Each time it tells me the same thing which is " We received your application for permanent residence on 24 January 2013"...getting a reply today at least gave me reassurance that there are people working away at our applications and that there has been progress since that date.

It makes me so happy when I can read other people on the forum getting replies from Kingston...even if they are generic. I posted a quote on my wall at work because it was such a rough week last week, " the night is always darkest just before the dawn" it got me through the week...this email as generic as it might be will get me through until our visit.

Everyone of us (hopefully soon) will have our day and be reunited with our loved ones. It's just a matter of time...and making it to that time. So I'm going to cross all my fingers and toes and think good thoughts for everyone to hear some good news soon.

Looks like I'll be leaving August 15th for my six month stay down in JA. The hubby is so excited for me and the baby to come. He's already gone and bought baby stuff for her. Now I need to start deciding what I'm gonna bring and what I'm gonna leave here.

I wouldn't say that he can't get refused. It's all based in Kingston and if they think the relationship is real or not. If they feel that it was a marriage of convieence then yes they can refuse it. If there is enough proof of a genuine relationship then he won't be declined.

I'm getting use to the lack of an 8 hour sleep but I wouldn't change it for the world I thought I found love when I met my husband but like everyone says....you don't know how much you can love someone when yoiu have a child. His gift to me has also made me love him even more

Yep that's what I said. If they have the proof then they should be good. They wold most likely have to have an interview if she's never been to JA before and he hasn't been out of JA and there was never a meeting in person before......but we all know that Kingston works case by case and nothing is ever the same for anyone. Some people wait 17mths others wait 5 months. So in this case who the hell knows what Kingston will do. But bottom line is anyone can be refused by Kingston if they don't believe it's real.

no they cant refused you on that grounds Adam......when my wife came to jamaica for the first time we got married and she filed my application as about 2 months after she arrive back in canada...but what your wife have to do is keep coming back to jamaica to show immigration that your spouse come back to visit you after you been married..and just keep communication back and forth with each other....make sure you keep a record of your communication between the both of you.....then it will all work out....you will might have to do an interview to prove your relationship is genuine but once you know your spouse good then you should not have any problem at all.
