Good morning, again! AliCat, LOVE that poem! Happy International Women's Day, everyone!

Just got back from having my PCC re-done. For those of you who are in the process of applying or re-doing, the good news is that the process has been updated and made somewhat easier.

1) You may now pay the fees at ANY Inland Revenue Collectorate island-wide. You need your Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN) and the fees, nothing else.

2) There are now 4 locations to have the fingerprinting done, so no more tripping to Kingston if you live out west, centrally or on the north coast! You may get the fingerprints done at:

• Summit Police Station, St. James
• May Pen Police Station, Clarendon
• Pompano Bay, Area 2 Police Headquarters, Tower Isle, St. Mary
• Technical Services Division, 34 Duke Street, Kingston

Remember that you need your passport, 2 passport-sized photos and your receipt to get the fingerprints done, and you have to collect the PCC from the same location.

I filed a couple weeks ago and I didnt have any additional forms to fill out, it didnt effect my return, if anything you may recieve additional tax credits!

You don't get extra credits for your spouse until he/she is a resident. And I am low income

hahahaaaa @ Charlie and Suki. I'm not applying for family sponsorship, my friend applied for FSW and I'm considering it as well and that's how I ended up on this site. I did a search for Kingston, Jamaica and this thread came up. I started out lurking in here to get an idea of how quickly KGN processes applications compared to other HC's. I didn't expect to get addicted to you guys in here..LOL, as I said before I like the vibes in here, I check every day to see what you guys are up to and what good news is around.

So yesterday....I changed my name...LOL....only took me 3 yrs to decide.....So my ID's are now Oakes-Shaw.
My first marriage I really think I defined myself by his name, too young to know better. So now I am and always will be Oakes, who I was born as....I just want Shaw to be 'part' of me. Wow.....holay overshare

Happy, Happy Friday ya'll!! I hope you read that with your best "Western voice".. I dont have a middle name I feel like an outcast, well no, I actually made up a middle name for myself when I was 10, my mom just went with it, it's not legal but somehow I managed to get it on my drivers License? dont ask me how , it's just there!

I do Love my daughters middle name - Eve, she loves it too, she says one day she will switch to using it!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great day!! KG, just one little phone call please!

Afternoon!

I like my middle name, although I don't use it for anything. When I was born the idea was that my "pet name" would be the short-form of my middle name, unfortunately my brother had issues pronouncing it, made up his own pronunciation and it stuck.

Canuck, dunno what happened, KG warmed up and then cooled down. Hopefully they just went quiet to concentrate on some more files and soon we will see more updates.

and packing Charlie...well friends I am packed and ready to go!! ;D I will be thinking of you all! and hopefully checkin in every now and then! I will keep praying for you all. I'm off 7:00 am tomorrow morning. The house is clean, laundry is done, the car is washed tank is full of gas..wooo hooo... I think I'm set...

so all I have left to do is wax,nails, hair,eyebrows, iron & repack everything cuz i went dress shopping!! ohhh my goodness! I'm gettin super excited...weeeeeeeee...oh yea print e-tickets, pack make up....I have a lot to do yet!
