They can easily track our ip address and location, just an fyi, my test results had my location (outside Canada). So better be honest with them just for our benefit.
IRCC has ways around this and can figure out the subnets. But of course you're choice if you want to commit misrepresentation and risk a refusal / ban.

I work on a secure computer system . If I log in from outside Canada an alert goes immediately to my companies IT department, and I’m shut down immediately. And it’s grounds for immediate termination of employment. I’m positive the Federal Government has a comparable systems to deal with individuals on the “ take “

I'd be taking the Oath on my own computer, not a Government of Canada computer, so not really sure at all how this applies...
Given the anonymity on the forum, it will be rather simple to claim "I took oath outside Canada". There can be no evidence for or against that claim.
Since the proof of the pudding is in the eating, keep us posted on how it goes
