but what i can contribute to this is that - don't take foodstuff with you - they ask at the airport what you are bringing in ane khoti ritna tamne tang kare to su thaashe tya ? they are quite strict about food items.
take the pressure cooker and dhokla cooker - and a few kitchen items that you may need to start with.
clothes - you need clothes ( jackets and shoes ) that can withstand the winter - if you wear regular shoes in the winter you will freeze. so pack what you need but keep in mind that you will have to buy later. Canadian stores have regular sales and things are very affordable then.
My sister in law bought winter boots for 10 dollars in the sale. So look out for the sales !
Even bed linen will be too heavy to carry and canadian weather requires different duvets for winter and summer ! so go with the mind set that you may have to buy new things anyway due to weather.
Walmart is supposed to be an affordable shop.
