I sent a pm, but before seeing your post, another fellow told me about
actually I find it very strange with the architectural degree and supporting documents you submitted but:
I think you should concetrate on showing that you are working in by your self as an architect, not only own an architectural company
maybe you can send some snapshots of you , meeting clients discussing projects and drawings or visiting construaction sites
ofcourse company registration papers and contracts with clients if not already sent
Your registraction in all proffisional architectural syndicates,registration boards that you are a member of

How about sending them copies of:

Comapny deed showing the name, owners/directors, formation date, address
Company registration document
Copies of a few contracts showing your name as the contractor / consultant/ architect
Copies of reference/recommendation letters issued by your clientsLetter from the bank/account statements showing your/company name

I am SO sorry and cannot imagine what they were thinking? My first thought is a request for consideration IMMEDIATELY, by FAX. Trying to think of anything ELSE you can use to back up your work - perhaps a picture of you, holding YOUR DRAWINGS with the FINISHED building beside you???? I am feeling almost as desperate as you to think of something MORE to show them their error. Hope others have more ideas SOON. Thinking of you two and your litte half n half. Something has to work!!!!

I am sending them a fax with copies of plannings, bills, contracts, etc
and a letter to them directly to the cio with all this ...
the funny is that I sent them a document from my Professional association with a list of my works.

more than that is a cubic ton of paper copies of my projects

to say about the question of finding a work is not the issue, you are either applicant or not...
or are they changing the rules on the run? arbitrarily... I have more than enough of this in my country.

No they are not officially changing the rules, I was just trying to assess why someone, who seems to be more than qualified, has been rejected.

Someone else pointed out, that being self employed may have also been a problem. I think the idea of re sending an email, stating all the experience you have etc is a good one.

Seriously, you sound perfectly qualified for immigration and I am just trying to rack my brains as to why the VO reviewing your case, may have rejected you.

I send them a fax, also an urgent letter with dvd filled with 7 of my works, one per year in the last 7 years... all them finished.

now I do have a bad feeling, and think this is all going to be futile.

as I told someone I am leaving my country because I am tired of stupidity, but maybe canada is nor free of that sickness too.

sorry, sure canadians are nice guys. I just trashed with bureucracy.

I will not do anything else, I am tired of al this, just wait for a week or so, and then start with my other option that is the USA.

I know the question was asked, but don't recall an answer - how closely did your submitted description of job duties match the required duties for your NOC? Is it possible that's what they got hung up on?

I have made an Application for Permanent Residence(Federal Skilled Worker) to " CIC-Canada,Canada,received by MIKE on 3rd march 2011.
In April 2011,I received email stating my application is under review.
On 9 th may 2011, the fees was debited from my Credit card
On 10 may 2011, I received email stating "I was not eligible for processing in NOC (National Occupational Classification) code: 3131 - PHARMACIST category, as I have not provided sufficient evidence from your employer that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties.and my refund will be sent.

I am an pharmacist and pharmaceutical scientist working in R&D with aroung 7 years of experience.My employer has flatly refused anything regarding work deatils/profile on the reference letter and has given an experience letter kind of letter for CIC.I had attached all letters like appointment/resignation/apprisal letters along with the original application.


It appears to be an slap on my face that they dont even consider me an pharmacist!

What Am I supposed to do know?

I am doing my application on my own and not through any agent.Is this the reason my application is rejected flatly and treated this way?

Since I have received an email from CIC,I have made an Email reply to CIC canada(the email address from which I received the email,reply format was disabled!),general enquiry email.I have stated my complete work profile and resume ,work experience details and job responsibilities,in that email.

Is that be sufficient or I shold send a signed letter?

Saket: CanadaJimmy was able to successfully fight his NER by faxing an urgent message to CIO at the number given for change of address information: FAX number (902) 270-3561. A number of members have suggested receiving a FAX does not allow for hitting the Delete Key and may be more effective.

Do either you or FRANNE see any initials on your correspondence that might identify WHO reviewed your documents? I wonder if you should both order CAIPS, even though they would take up to 45 days to arrive, it might give you some clues.

maybe he hates immigrants (its becoming my thought now) because I cant explain it other way

otherwise how can you get or order CAIPS...? might it happen he or she is discriminating people...?
because of personal preferences...

the problem with the CIO is that looks like they like secrecy, they are hidden and you can not reach them easily.

I send them these fax, and an urgente letter that should be there in 5 days (go! post go!)
so I think if in 7 days there is no signal or mail or something I will give up. because I have been dealing for quite looooong with bureaucrats to keep fighting them eternaly. if there is an error and they do something it will be quick (so everybody forget about it) or they will never admit it and nothing can be done, although you were right and they don´t



your situation is very similar to mine saket. 7 years experience as recognized and registered architect in my country and he is not satisfied I am architect... satisfied!! so there is no rule just personal perception. probably his or her perception about you is that he is not satisfied also you being pharmacist...

Sorry, I think my suggestion about ordering CAIPS notes may be premature. I did a search at the top of the forum page "caips order" and read through a few of the threads. It seems they may not start notes until an application is in process, so it might not be useful to either of you at this point. All the information about what to do and what they are about can be found in that search. ? Hopefully, some SENIORS will comment on this, but with the new GCMS programme, would they be inputting earlier data than CAIPS, so it would be worth ordering???
