hello I'm a newbie in this forum can you please help me for applying TRV I'm a foreign worker here in canada and I want to visit my family this coming march 2011. My employer gave me 1 month vacation. I don't know where will be the best place to apply for my TRV since I'm here in toronto, what do you think guys? anyone who applied in the Philippines for re entry? please share your experience and procedure...and how long it takes before you received your visa. plzzzzz help any suggestion? thanks in advance

When does your WP expire? If your WP is valid till after your planned return to Canada you can send your TRV application to Buffalo. You need a letter from your employer stating you're going for a vacation and is coming back to work for him/her when you return to Canada.

If your address is in Canada:

When sending your passport you should provide a Canada Post Xpresspost-National envelope for its return.

Purchase two prepaid 24 x 32 cm (no smaller) Xpresspost - National envelopes at any Canada Post retail outlet (do NOT purchase " Xpresspost - USA" envelopes)

Use one to send your passports to us; the second is for us to return your passport and Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents.

Complete the mailing label on the return envelope showing your full mailing address in the "Deliver To" field and the Fort Erie Post Office box address (below) in the "Return Address" field.

Make a note of the tracking number for each envelope.
Send your passport and the return envelope to:

Canadian Consulate General
Immigration Regional Program Centre
P.O. Box 660
Fort Erie, Ontario
L2A 6R6

(Courier packages must be sent to the Buffalo, NY address.)

The Post Office in Fort Erie will not accept commercial courier deliveries.

Ok. Magkaiba ang address (obviously) but it would probably be better on your part to send at Fort Erie.This way you comply with the mailing requirements and the way they return you [passport back to you. If you send your app to Buffalo in New York, passport will be returned to you thru snail mail.
