Justifying backlogs in BE - PLease help

Can anyone help me to understand how to justify backlogs in BE ( i had 4 backlogs) and i have 10+ years of experience
and planning to apply for master's program in Canada

You can tell them you were into some kind of Sports / suffered from bad health / some family problem (justify these well) that's why you were not able to do well. Show them how you got more serious and started to work more harder. Along with that you can show how your performance improved in the late years of your BE (if it did).
