we r file out-land.....but i want to go to Canada to stay with my husband while we wait. i plan on keeping my residence here in the US,.so is this possible?....file out-land while i stay with my hubby in Toronto? i really need some sound advice,...good advice,....thanks

It is possible, and you can extend your visitor status from Canada by sending an 'Application to extend my stay, change conditions or remain in Canada' with a $75 fee and proof of submitted spousal application to CPC Vergeville. You wouldn't be able to work in Canada during this time and you'd have no medical coverage unless you get private insurance, but other than that there's no problem

You can go and stay with your husband as per the existing rules applicable to a visitor, during the waiting period of a outland PR application. You can still keep your residence and property in USA while you become a PR in Canada.
