So we decided to spend the $400 and have an Immigration Consultant look over our finished application (Acan Immigration in Burnaby for any of you living in the lower mainland of BC, they were great! For $400 they review your entire application and give you a detailed report on every form and your proof of relationship material, and then free of charge you can set up a meeting with them to go over the changes you've made and answer any questions you have. If you are in the area and need a CIC Dr to do your Medical exam, go see Dr Stephen Reznik, also in Burnaby-Did my whole exam for $227)
Aside from a few things we needed to add/fix, the Consultant told us ours was the one of the best applications she's ever seen. We couldn't have done it without all of the help and advise we've received on this forum, so Carlissa and I just wanted to thank all of you who have answered our many questions.
If you are thinking about doing the application on your own, although it may seem daunting and frustrating, you can totally do it!

So we are just waiting for our marriage certificate to arrive and then we will be sending in our application, hopefully sometime this month. Now the wait begins! Thanks again everyone!

Wow thats a really goid price! We spent $3000 for our consultant called CanLink in richmond, BC. However the consultant filled in all the forms for us and they are the ones doing any correspondance with CIC on our behalf

We figured that since we'd have to provide a lawyer with all the information anyway for them to fill it out, we'd save the money and do it ourselves lol
I think for them to do the whole thing as your lawyer did was about $2000 from them, we just got them to look through it and make sure we did it correctly. Report came back broken down by each form, if it was gtg or needed some tweaking. How much did you have to pay for your Medicals?
