Hi Everyone,
Just trying to get a folder together with all my information and documents for my 2 boys medicals,my boys will be having there medicals done in Australia and they will not be coming to Canada but need to be done as they are dependents of mine, so I just have a few questions to ask if someone can clear them up for me

1. My boys do not possess a passport and it says to provide an official identity document bearing a photo and date of birth, is a copy of their birth certificate and a passport sized photograph with their name and date of birth on the back cerficient or is this an actual document I need to find?

2. (If known please provide a immigration identification number (ID#), as I'm only gathering information for their father where would you get this ID number from to start with? as I haven't started my paperwork yet either.

3. (The DMP will give you Copy 2 of the Medical Report: IMM 1017 EFC - Medical Report Section A. Include the original of Copy 2 with your application.) Does this mean with my inland sponsorship paperwork, or is it sent with my boys paperwork from Australia?

many thanks for any help to my questions

I'll start with Q#3 - the whole application (including your boys' applications and proof of medicals, etc.) is going to be sent together to the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville (if you're filing inland). So after they have their medicals done and they receive the confirmation of that from the DMP in the form of the original of Copy 2 of IMM1017, they need to send it to you so you can include it with your application. It's my understanding that CPC-Vegreville will send your boys' information to Sydney for assessment.

Q#1 - I don't know the answer to this . . . my sons did not have passports either when they had their medicals done, but they were both old enough to have drivers' licences, which sufficed for identification purposes. If your boys are too young to have official identification, you should contact the DMP for information on what is acceptable for identification purposes. The DMP, obviously, needs to be able to verify that s/he is completing the exam on the actual person named on the application - that's the reason for identification.

Q#2 - If you are in Canada with documented temporary status - which I sincerely hope you are if you're intending to file inland - you should have a "Client ID#" on your status document. That is the number that will be used to identify your PR application, and can be used as an immigration identification number for the medicals. IT will just help CPC-V match your sons' information to your file.
