Looking at EE. I have 11 months of NOC0 managerial experience but it says you need a minimum of 1 year but it also says they count full time as 30 hours a week. The contract I signed with my employer has me doing a minimum of 40 every week for those 11 months. Would those hours of work accumulate to makes years worth of experience? Or no? If so, how do I prove to them that the labour hours are there? Thanks.

You are absolutely eligible ..its the hours the count first .. you can always prove those with your paystubs. . But since you're almost 11 months there try to make it up to 12..but 11 months doesn't sound like an issue as long as you have 1560 hrs of paid work.

I have 1980 hours of paid work over the course of.

Guess that's me covered then.

You are wrong, they count weeks first and then hours in case you were not working full time. So if you do not have 1 year of employment you won't be eligible.

There is something really strange that I have observed with this EE process.

If you look at the minimum qualifications regarding work experience (Canadian and Foreign), you'll see 1560 hours of paid full time work required. However, on the CRS-C chart, there is an option for having 0 years work experience which gets you 0 points. Why would you even put this in here if it will disqualify you from applying?! There should be no option to choose less than "1 to 2 years". Additionally, this "disqualifying" requirement is only worth 25 points! I'm sure a lot of people would easily forego these points to qualify. Does this make sense?

Its seems that there are a bunch of people out there who have 0 work experience in OR outside canada, who seem to have scores +800. How did they enter the pool? I believe some have even received an ITA.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, and try and shed some light on this matter.

In my case, I'm shy of complete 52 weeks of work experience. My work experience is from end of June to till date, the system has already given me CEC points and they say I have met the criteria. I've had 35 hours of work for first 3 months and then 40 hours of work.

It doesn't look like the current system is looking for exact 52 weeks since they're not asking for the exact date of starting the work. They're only asking for the MONTH/YEAR.

See if you can get your employer to mention your employment duration as one year you will be fine or just explain the 12th month as vacation or something

Don't do that. They may believe that you are purposely misleading them. If you worked 11 months, then i'm pretty sure your employer won't go out on a limb to say that you worked 1 month more. In the event that they do, be very careful with dates etc. If the information timeline on your documents doesn't match what you were actually doing when they examine it, you could get barred from applying to Canada.

Be as transparent as you can be with your documents and all filled information.
