By the look of your timeline, I would guess you are 'sponsor approved'?It’s the email saying cpc Mississauga will be processing my app

If so, then it means that CIC have decided to process the second phase (the assessment of the PA) in Mississauga, with Mississauga acting as a 'visa office' rather than perhaps London or Ottawa. They have recently been processing the second phase in Mississagua as an 'overflow' for congested London and Ottawa. So yes, they will be getting on processing the PA assessment, so to that extent it is 'good', but whether Mississauga are quicker than either London or Ottawa is not at all clear. Count on a number of weeks or a handful of months yet until approval I am afraid.
Apps are staying in CPC M to assist with the backlog in Ottawa, not necessarily on a straightforward basis. I don't think it's outside of the realm of possibility that the officer looked at yours, it's a US app, not much complication at a first glance, etc, but there's a lot of backlog now and they're attempting to stay within targets.I have heard that straight forward apps stay in Mississauga, is this true?
Does the fact I received this email mean someone has actually looked at my application and decided it will be processed in Mississauga?

Do you have a citation for the Ottawa backlog thing? (I mean, I know they're obviously super backlogged, but I don't believe that's the only criteria). Based on all the posts in this forum and the OB570 bulletin that was posted, I was under the impression applications did need to meet the criteria of being "non-complex" to be kept in Mississauga. See the doc here. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-im...ard/threads/ob570-stream.513446/#post-6426449
As much as I absolutely there's a criteria to be met, 1) they're panicked to meet targets stemming back from 2016 and we know how disorganized they are 2) unforeseen complexities arise well into processing. An app may seem straightforward (and for all intents and purposes is) but things can be uncovered during BGC. Example: our friends Irish outland applicants had what you and I would consider a straightforward application, except the applicant mooned a cop 12 years ago when he was 18 (he was never charged/ticketed or anything like that!). Seemed like a non issue until the final stages of processing... it came up and turned everything into a giant, delayed mess. You can meet such criteria but still encounter delays/problems - my wording was unclear and I could have stated that betterDo you have a citation for the Ottawa backlog thing?
