What is the one advise that seniors would like to give to the new comers who wish to secure a decent job in Canada?

I have been reading lots of posts about work culture difference of Canada and how Canadian employers prefer Canada work exp over the degrees or certificates and how many well educated professionals are doing survival jobs in Canada.

Is situation really this bad? If it is then why people are crazy about PR and moving to Canada?

I would say most of the jobs are based on references. Ppl who have got reference will find easily.
And depends on the industry and skill set.

Get strong reference letters (not just a few impersonal lines). Have a good CV. Apply to as many jobs as you can. You should be fine.

As for the job situation it really depends on your field and experience. Many jobs are in high demand, search on internet to learn more about them.

Mu advice is be communication and some more communication! Most who land are shy or too polite and less outspoken. Canadians love to talk if you initiate. And don’t be afraid to ask high level professionals on LinkedIn! You really will be surprised to know how many will reply back. You really need to hustle, with personal experience I haven’t faced any discrimination so far nor has my husband!

Networking! Get to know people in companies you want to work in. Ask them out for a quick coffee and to discuss jobs and experiences. If that feels awkward to do so, then attend networking events with your resume and business card, and talk to as many people as you can and try to make a good and memorable impression so that they remember you later if you contact them again.

1.Write a Canadian style resume that outlines your accomplishments clearly
2.Find employed people in Canada who "understand" those accomplishments and what they mean and let them know you exist, these are the people you want to network with. You can find them through your friends, your community members, linkedin, volunteering activities, networking events or even when joining a professional training program in your field
3.Through those connections that you've built in "2", seek referral for positions
