So I guess his thinking is that he lands as a single person then marries his wife after the fact and then sponsors her. Thats a lot of lying to do.
Since you have already been approved it would not be another 3 year wait to come as a couple. She is American and here info I would think would be easy to get and easy to process.

By wait another 3-4 years, I mean I can't take the risk of having to re-apply again and go through all the headache of doing police reports (even though I don't care as I don't commit crimes---at least not yet! ;-)--- ), medicals, etc. I know if I have to start everything over, it will be a long process again, maybe even longer given I will have a family to add, etc.
If you insist on landing using the visa you have now, you should be aware that you are committing a crime.

Again, your life. IMHO you're about to make a massive mistake that will have repercussions you will very much regret at some point in the future.

But you have been told there is no 3-4 year delay and you have also been told you DO NOT do everything over again.

Well, thank you all for the input. I appreciate everybody's suggestions, opinions, and comments. I guess a have a clearer view now (which was why I even decided to join this forum), and the rest is up to me and my wife to decide.

Just wish us luck!

Thank you all!

the information scylla has given you is correct and clear. its up to you what you wanna do but you landing in Canada with a Lie which counts as misrepresentation and a crime could revoke your PR and even if they don't you would not be able to sponsor your wife! that's pretty clear, i'm not sure why you would want to completely mess up your situation, but again thats your decision.
telling them the truth now will benefit you if you plan on living in Canada, if not you are gonna create lots of headache for yourself later.
just couple of weeks ago someone was around here who was looking for help because he didn't declared he was married and because of that he couldn't sponsor his wife!

good luck.

very well said! its pretty clear i'm not sure why he would even consider landing that way, which would completely mess up his situation but again its his decision.

I don't know if you remember seeing the person a while back who was looking for help because he didn't tell CIC married and as a result he couldn't sponsor his wife.

His wife can apply for immigration on her own, but they should check the CIC website to see if there is any other immigrant class she would qualify for. If he lands in Canada without telling CIC he got married, he will never be able to sponsor her as his spouse. This may not matter if the wife can qualify on her own, but there is no guarantee she will. Just because she is an American does not mean she can come to Canada to live - she has to qualify to immigrate like an applicant from any other country.

actually it will matter because even if his wife gets into Canada with a different method of immigration and later CIC finds out their marriage was before his landing and he didn't disclose it to CIC it would be "misrepresentation" which causes his PR to get revoked!
regardless even if it take a little more time it'll be much easier for him and his wife later if he discloses correct info now.
I don't know their circumstances but its no brainier to be truthful. whats the benefit of not informing CIC he is married? I can't see any except huge problems down the road.
