I have been reading through different threads on this forum and I noticed a lot of the people who got their PPR are mostly the ones that have kids with their spouses, does it mean that if there is no kid in the relationship, CIC does not recognize it? I noticed it on both married couples and those who applied for common law as well

Not sure where you've been collecting your data, but I assure you that those without children are asked for PPR (unless they applied Inland).

I think that is a coincidence. CIC definitely recognizes couples without children, for both married and common-law couples. Couples with children are not subject to conditional PR, but the application processing should be the same.
