Just been refused residency!!

purplekalzip, What's the date on e-cas showing under application received? Was August 2012 when you received your AOR email or is this the date they received your application?

Yes, the application was considered complete in August 2012 or Yes,the application received date which you see online in ECAS is Aug 2012?
 
Purplekalzip, seconding ioanag, when was your application received according to ECAS?

Thing is, your work experience was from April 2009 to May 2011. If your application was considered received after a certain point - say, in June - your work experience from April to May 2009 would not count, because it would've happened before the 36 month window. At least that's my interpretation.

I think your onto something there....application received July 12 2012. So CIC are just going back two years from this date??
That sucks!!

Yep, that's what I thought. Take a look at the quote from the OP25 I posted above. The two years of work experience must have happened in the 36 months prior to your application being received by CIC.
 
I don't know... Perhaps this is a question the seniors could provide a better answer? The 36 month rule is clear. However, you did mention that there were a few issues regarding your application and it wasn't considered complete until August. When did you first send your application? Was it in July or before that?
 
Unfortunately from what i've read, it takes longer for an appeal to finalize than to apply again this time with the new '1 year rule. Also an appeal does not guarantee a positive decision overall.

In any case, I second what 7799 said. You can still reapply. And under the new rules you only need one year of work experience.

It was first returned in July 2011. Then again in Jan 2012.
 
purplekalzip, if u want to reapply then do it as soon as possible. U have about 45 days. So collect all document send it by 23 may 2013 for safe side. I suggest do not wait for PCC. That can be submitted later on.
