Okay, So I recently came across this:
http://www.canadavisa.com/news/entry/proposed-changes-for-spousal-sponsorships-110330.html
The Proposed changes for spousal sponsorships. It does say that spousal applies for couples who have been in relationships for 2 years or less. I will be going to my fiance next month. I have my visa and everything. We plan on getting married in June/July and in October we will be together for 2 years. We have been engaged for an entire year though. i'm probably just a bit paranoid but it would not be complicated for us right?
Also, On the cic website they made a big list of things that would possibly cause your application to take longer. Im fine with every thing listed but I was curious about this one:
•The applicant or his or her family members require an interview and lives in an area not regularly visited by immigration officials
"family members" What exactly do they mean? Besides myself, Like could my parents or family back in my home country be asked for an interview? or what do they mean? I know I can be asked for that and we will be doing inland but my family back home, could they be possibly asked for an interview?
