Yeah this proves so!

2010 was a record year in terms of immigration so i dont think it should be a benchmark as far as immigration this year is concerned...if we take out average of last 3-4 years than i guess they are doing ok...maybe just maybe a bit slow but they have the tragets for year..dont they??/

Please also remember that from June 2010, their intake of applications was vastly reduced.

Just to update further on the same discussion: I had a response from London VO against my case status enquiry and this is what it says:
Quote: Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Documents on file.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.
Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
Yours sincerely,

Hi All,

Just want to ask something, I sent my full documents last Feb 2011 and got a letter from London office yesterday. In the letter they gave me a new file number. Is this mean that they already calculated my score or they wiil just start looking on my documents. Is the receiving of second AOR means you pass the passing mark of 67?

Thanks

congratulation

My address is also disappreaed today.... ;D

What does your letter say? I also sent my full dox on Feb 2011 and got a letter last week. They gave me a new file number as well...this should be (or supposedly) my 2nd AOR...I’m a bit confused though cuz in my letter it says that they will need to further determine my eligibility before my application can be placed in processing. If not eligible, they will send me a letter stating the reason and will be entitled to a refund.

Kinda frustrating, since I thought determination of eligibility, that is the passing mark should be done in the first stage/submission of initial dox to CIC. Although I am quite happy they took notice of my documents...it appears that this letter is just to ease a bit the pain of waiting. Looking at the situation closely, my status didn’t change; I’m still in my first stage of application…waiting to be assessed as eligible. Like when I first submitted my documents on May 2010…waiting for my money to be credited and waiting for my 1st AOR as this would SUPPOSEDLY mean that my case is eligible for processing.

Hmmmmm….but hey…I’m still happy with the letter from London. At least I have something to read over and over and over for a month.

Cheers! ;D
