I think CIO is giving utmost attention to the Post June 26 applicants. The whole process slowed down since the introduction of the new rule

Hmm, really can't agree with you here. May and June applicants are currently receiving AORs on a daily basis. Post June 26 applicants have not received an AOR - not a single applicant, despite rumours that CIC are currently working applications received 24th August.

So all the evidence would suggest they are going to complete all May and June AORs before they send any AORs for post-June-26. That's fair, of course :) But I can't see why you think they are focussing on post-June-26 applications?

The process did slow down for a few months, hence delays in issuing May and June AORs when April seemed to be receiving them in a timely fashion. But please remember over the summer CIC had a lot of staff on holiday, in addition to a large number of student visas to issue. And in addition to this, CIC received an excessive number of applications during May and June this year.

So although there has clearly been a delay for May and June applicants, I don't think any of it is necessarily due to the new rules. Now the summer is over I am confident that things will speed up again.

Can't blame the guy at all...the waiting is torturous. The guy applied on May 12, 2010 and up till now he has not gotten AOR

A good news for London VO applicants is that one May applicant of London VO whose application was filed on 23-May-2010 has received 1st AOR.
So it is hoped that turn of London VO applicants has come for AORs. :)

Cheers

Yes I sympathise that is very frustrating, especially since some applications received on 25th June have reported to have received an AOR.

My thoughts are that they may be issuing some AORs fast if the case is straight forward. The delays may be for cases which require more checking/investigation. Now for pre-June-26th this is not a problem for them if the AORs are issued out of turn (although it is of course frustrating for some of the applicants).

However, for post-June-26 applications it IMO is very important for the cases to be assessed and approved in the order they were received, since this is the order in which they've stated the caps will be filled. If they start approving applications by complexity or by visa office, then the capping system will be completely messed up.

Given that CIC have told people they are processing applications on 24th August, it may well be that a good chunk of post-June-26 eligibility reviews are complete, however they may possibly be saving AORs for when the complete 20,000 cap has been hit, and send them out all at once.

Just a thought.

There was a 2 month period during which CIC appeared to be doing nothing with FSW1 applications. I think this was due to staff holidays and having all the student visas to do. Now that period is past and they are working hard again on FSW1 applications I don't think you will have to wait until the New Year.

Please update, my DD was cashed on 1st Sept 2010, just received confirmation from my bank.

I called CIC few hours back. Agent opened a status request ticket and asked me call back after 30 days.

I feel that post June 26 application will be processed faster. Most of the verifications are done by CIO and there is no second AOR ..so the improved system may be faster.. Same was the case before 2 years all the applicants prior 2009 are still waiting while the post 2009 applicant got their visa with in an Year...

Can you please add me to the list i applied 20th june noc 0111

Hi All,

Please provide your expert advice on a query:-

If i deposit $13,081 (necessary funds to show for me and my wife) today in bank account for a day and make a letter from bank that i had this much money in my a/c as on today. Would that be sufficient to show proof of funds (even though i submit my docs after 2 months) or i have to keep that money for more than a day?

Pls help

Thanks,
Anubhav
