Because the portal system is relatively new, unreliable, and extremely unfair. Its infrastructure is horseshite; there's no FIFO, no accountability, and no structure or pattern on how they go through applications.Anyone know why AOR is taking so long for online applicants?
That's AOR.Hi Guys, Just wondering who receives the AOR. The sponsor or the applicant?
I am sponsoring my wife and i received an email confirming my application to sponsor has been received. Is the the AOR we’d submit for the work permit application?
I’m sorry, what is OWP?Sponsor or the PA can receive an AOR. If the application number provided in he email starts with F0.. That is the AOR.
You can link your application online on GCKey using that application number provided to you. The GCKey account has to be the Principal Applicants.
As for the OWP, you can link your OWP to the GCKey account as well. There is no AOR for OWP
Open work permit. Only available for inland spousal sponsorship.I’m sorry, what is OWP?
I must of been a lucky one as I received my AOR today by email after 38 days. Anyone else?Anyone know why AOR is taking so long for online applicants?
Hey, that's really unfortunate to hear. So i'm assuming you had initially applied online, and it was returned as incomplete due to missing signature. How you resubmit that document again with the missing signature will depend on how far along in the process you were. Whether the application was completely returned before AOR, or if it was accepted for processing, issued an application number, and then marked as incomplete. if you have the provision to just attach and upload the required form again, i would suggest to stick to the same instead of reapplying from scratch.Just received a letter stating it is incomplete as it does not have signatures on a form that is validated.
Should I just print everything out and do a paper application instead? This way I can apply for a work permit with the application instead of waiting for an AOR.
Not sure what the smartest thing is atm. Do I get my fees back or can I 'reuse' my receipt for the next application?
We are just wasting money from our savings now not working so would like to apply asap.
Thanks for the help.
Where is your application being processed? We just received our pre-arrival services letter. I thought that typically came later in the process, after SA and PA (haven't received that yet as far as I'm aware). Not sure what this means in terms of implications for the timeline?
