I have a stupid question:

Has anyone known any cases rejected because of not meeting the physical presence requirement?

I submitted my application with 1096 elegible days of credits according to the calculator.

I have accumulated 365 days of credits before I became PR, and had been living in Canada for 738 days after becoming PR since I only visited US for 9 days during the pendemic.

I have read through the guide regarding the physical presence requirment, saying it will count one day as even if you spent only part of a day in Canada.....

I know I should meet the physcial presence requirement but still uncertain if IRCC will challenge it.....

If they doubt your physical presence, they will interview you or send a RQ. A bad interview will also lead to a RQ.

Residence questionnaire. Basically they’ll tell you to give more documents to prove your physical presence.

In most cases, the ceremony takes place 4 to 6 months after you pass the citizenship test.
