Has anyone changed their address just before oath or during oath?
How did it go?
Did it cause any delays?
Did you have to fill any web forms?
As you are a paper applicant you can change the address on ECAS. Two experience that I read-
1) During Oath, doc verification the agent verified the address and the applicant said they are not living at that address anymore. Agent updated the address and Citizenship certificate was received on new address.
2) During Oath, doc verification the agent verified the address and the applicant said they are not living at that address anymore. Agent updated the address but said no guarantee Citizenship certificate will be sent on new address. It might go to the old address. Not sure what happened in the end.

In my opinion you should change the address now so that it will reflect by your Oath date. As your oath is confirmed there is no chance for delay.

You can apply for GCMS notes(CBSA one) and check what's happening with background verification. Calling IRCC is also one option. But with there 24 month processing time excuse they might not provide much info.

Thanks. The processing time is 24 months, but the timelines shared on this thread suggest that many people with the same timeline had already passed their tests. It makes me wonder why my application has not been updated in months.

You cannot compare with others as your Background is not completed. You have to find the reason for that.

Anyone waiting for ECAS status to be closed with Oath on Jan 18th virtually from Niagara Office, my oath is completed on Jan 18th but still no update in new tracker and ECAS

Hi everyone,

This is the timeline of my application:

Type: paper application
Location: North York, Toronto
Physical Presence Days: 1106
Application: Family (couple)
Application sent: June 16, 2022
Delivered: June 17, 2022
AOR: June 30, 2022

My spouse's background verification was completed on August 16, 2022; however, my background verification is still in progress. I have seen many applications with the same timeline that already had their test. How can I follow up on my application, and is anyone in the same situation? I check my status using the tracker (https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login), is this the right address?

Thanks,
Honestly I feel the same way. I had a request for info back in Nov as the only update and ive been dealing with that since. Everything is still in process. No test invite, etc. Ive phoned the IRCC in Sydney over this requested info 2x. They can't really tell you anything beyond what we see so all thats said is "wait". At this point im just expecting to be one of those people who will wait the 24 months. There are lots of people who applied months and yrs before us and havent got their citizenship yet. Its definitely discouraging when you see momentum for others but nothing we can do.

My time line:
Type: Online
Location: Live in BC but being processed in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Physical presence: 1761
Application: Single
Application sent: June 20th 2022
AOR: June 23rd
GU: Oct 7th
Request for more information: Nov 28th
Information sent: Nov 28th
Tracker status updated: Nov 30th waiting on you for more information.
GU: Dec 16th
Request for more information as they couldn't read the two different emails i sent: Jan 17th
Tracker status updated to request additional info: Jan 19th
*i sent it registered post and it was signed for on Jan 23rd.
