Hi everyone,

I received my AOR on September 9 and received an email on September 15 telling me to follow the update of my application on the tracker. After that, nothing else anymore.

Is that really possible? I applied online in June but it seems to be not moving? Tracker still says updated on September 10 but that is it. I have not received anything else. No emails or change of date in the tracker.

I check my spam constantly but I delete them right away. Not sure if I accidentally deleted an email but so far, no updates in the tracker.

Hope someone can shed some light.

Seems that IRCC is sleeping on online applications. I also applied online and have had no updates since receiving AOR on September 24 and the email on October 5 to sign up for the tracker.

Any online applicant got Test invite?

My Wife and I both applied online are are still waiting for a test invite. No update since AOR. I also noticed that there is no online applicant in the tracker who got a test invite. Most online applicants from May are also waiting for a Test Invite.

Most online applicants get their AORs, BGC completed, test invites later than paper applicants. However, their overall time from application date to DM and oath is either the same as that of paper applicants or even shorter in many cases. So, hang on for some more time, movement will happen for you guys, and it will be quick.

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere... Do I need to inform the IRCC if I receive a new passport? My passport expired last year and I didn't renew it. I'm planning on travelling in April/ May of next year and I'm afraid I won't get the Canadian in time for my trip. Is it better to just wait or apply for a new Passport from my home country? will I need to show my expired passport during the oath ceremony or at point during this process?
When I applied I photocopied the pages of my current/expired passport and explained why hadn't renewed it yet.

Thanks for pointing this out - I actually have the same question. Could somebody who knows better chime in please?

Hi there, I am paper (family of 4). Nothing yet after AOR. No update on background check yet. Is your BC still pending.

Many of us are in a similar situation, including myself (paper application, family of 3, AOR on September 16 and nothing after that).

I'm trying to be patient and let the process take its time - April and May applicants are receiving test invites these days which means it's the turn of June applicants next.

However, because of the holiday season and the year end, there is a strong possibility that we won't hear anything until January.
