June 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

Need some input on web form.

There are 2 ways

(1) https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Application/Form/69
or
(2) https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

I used 2nd one twice to get my application number as I never got AOR with the application number. But I came to know about my application when I checked on old ecas and got an email from them to register on the new tracker.

But I got a standard reply twice from 2nd option that they are processing Afgan refugees files & urgent matters. Turn around time is very quick when used 2nd option.

Does anyone use 1st option & give me some timeline on a reply from them?

Can you see in ECAS the date they sent AOR?

that is what I see in ECAS:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 23, 2021.
2. We started processing your application on October 27, 2021.

Hi guys I got confirmation of delivery (through courier) July 27th, AOR October 27th and my process ECAS is saying they sent a study guide to me via mail today. Does this mean I will be invited to write the test soon or could it still be months down the road?

Sending study guide is a routine procedure after AOR. As per the current trend except minimum of 6 months for the test invite

2. We started processing your application on October 27, 2021.

It looks like AOR section is missed in your ECAS

I have only 2 lines one for date of receiving and the other one for Discover Canada

This is how it looks

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 8, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 13, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on October 20, 2021.

Call them and ask for your application number
Also verify your email is correct with IRCC because thats how you will receive communication about your test and other requests.
Their phone number is 1-888-242-2100

I tried calling this number, they wouldn't connect me to an agent saying that nobody is available as suggested that I update contact details (phone, email etc) using a weblink. Do you have any idea which link is that?

That's weird! Normally the proccing date after the date of AOR

Did anyone's backgroud check status change to completed without being asked to provide fingerprints?

Got my ECAS in process today (Oct 29).

Application received June 3 and AOR Sep 15.
