Hi! I am actually applying by myself as a minor The SDS stream is unfortunately only for post-secondary applicants. I got accepted into a secondary school (Grade 12).

hello everyone. i applied for fall September intake.june 23, 2021 for study permit for minor (17 years old) and here's the timeline so far

submitted: june 23
biometrics collection letter: june 25
biometrics taken: june 28 and shown on the website same day

review of eligibility
-We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements
Review of medical results
- you do not need a medical exam. we will send you a message if this changes
Review of additional documents
-we do not need additional documents
Interview
-you do not need an interview. we will send you a message if this changes.
biometrics
-june 28,2021 completed.
background check
-we are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information
Final Decision
your applications in progress. we will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

The review of eligibility took me by surprise since I've read from others that this usually comes last. Is this a bad sign?

Would like to clarify on this part. Did you have your biometrics upfront or did you wait for the instructions from the embassy to get your biometrics?

submitted: june 23 ----> submitted your SDS application?
biometrics collection letter: june 25 ----> did you mean this is the day that you received your letter/ instruction from the embassy?
biometrics taken: june 28 and shown on the website same day
